My stay was great. The property was beautiful and had everything needed for a relaxing vacation. I would stay here again and recommend this property to anyone.
Beautiful cabin in amazing location. We enjoyed the view, the canoeing, the swimming, and so much more. Just can’t say enough about this lovely place. Highly recommended!
We had such a nice stay at House Eagle Cove. The cottage was clean, had all the modern amenities, and the lake was only maybe 20 steps from the back door. We're already planning our next trip back ;)
A relaxing stay on a magical property with a comfortable cottage and a dramatic, private lakefront. The cottage has all amenities, including canoes for a daily paddle that just never gets boring. Can't wait to book again. :)
Oh the lake!!! Totally mesmerising, changes from hour to hour to look ever more lovely.
The cabin is clean, comfortable and well equipped. Everything you need is there for a totally relaxing break.
Heartily recommend
Was the most perfect honeymoon. It definitely is a piece of heaven on earth. Beautiful cabin. Love the decorative pieces of birch throughout the house. Absolutely love the pebble paths in the back leading to the firepit area and lake. Nice large deck to relax and enjoy the scenery. Listening to the sounds of nature every day is Serene...the daily loon, the evening frog, the chirping of the birds and even the frequent visits from the chipmunks made it even more magical.
And watching nearby boaters and seadooers is always entertaining.
The fact there were essentially no pesky bugs was fantastic. I thought for sure we'd be bombarded with mosquitoes and horeseflys, but not a one. Only the presence of dragon flys and of course the typical little camp flies, but no big deal at all.
Pretty much everything you need is there from laundry soap to umbrellas, to an iron and board. card and board games to outdoor fun such as Babington.
And of course the canoes to explore the beautiful lake.
Thank you Holger. It was perfect. We hope to get back in the future.
Coming to Eagle Cove means being at home. Everything is perfectly organized in this cottage in a beautiful setting. The property is perfectly situated. Swimming, canoeing, and relaxing—that's Eagle Cove.
This is a beautiful cabin right on the lake, very peaceful and relaxing! It is a good location for day trips to Lunenberg and the coast, and Kejimkujik NP. Well equipped kitchen (be sure to get groceries before arriving as limited stores nearby). Two canoes made for a fun day of paddling around the lake from island to island. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay!
Wonderful place to unwind. The lake was perfect to explore by canoe. So peaceful. It was a bit of a ride to stores and services but that was a plus for me! Missing it already.
A wonderful location to get away from it all. Fantastic views right next to the lake. Very quiet setting but with lots of nature. Close to several areas for day trips or good to just sit back and relax.
As advertised a very well stocked and well built cabin. The swimming and canoeing was excellent. So quiet at night. The stars were brilliant. I would definitely stay there again.
This property is absolutely a gem for those looking for peace and quite. You need to be able to follow directions in order to find it. Would recommend going here to anyone.
Another private getaway at House Eagle Cove. The property is beautiful with access to 2 canoes and lovely paddle routes. The cottage is comfortable, beautiful and very well equipped. The owner + manager are very responsive. It was our 3rd time and we're already booked for 2023. :)
Beautiful house with a gorgeous view of the lake about 40 mins drive from Bridgewater. Comfortable beds, nice kitchen and bathroom, lovely deck. It is a bit complicated to get there but the directions are very clear with pictures and maps. Unfortunately, we had to spend most of our time in the town of Bridgewater so we didn't cook much or get to enjoy all the outdoor amenities. It would be perfect for a week away from everything where you just want to relax by the water or canoe. Wifi works great!
We had a very special 2 weeks at House Eagle Cove. The cottage is on a large property, with direct water access. We spent time enjoying the views, canoeing with the kids ( 2 canoes on site) snorkeling around the mysterious rocks and boulders in our bay, taking woodland walks, and chilling out reading books while the kids made good use of the good wi-fi! :) All cottage amenities (kitchen/dining, washroom, laundry, common area) were very well equipped and it was easy to go about our lazy days. Beds on the firm side, but we didn't mind.
We had booked our vacation months in advance and little did I know that I would become sick one month before we were to go. Two surgeries later, I was cleared to go and when we arrived at the property, the view was absolutely gorgeous and calming. Unfortunately, something personal had come up and we had to leave with a couple of hours of getting there and did not spend the night. Knowing that the host and left that morning and probably traveling back home, I emailed him to let him know what happened and that he fulfilled his obligation on the rental and that we fulfilled ours so there was nothing neither of us could do or have planned. I appreciated his genuine care for us and if we are out in that area again, we look forward to coming out there and staying in the cabin and enjoy its beautiful views.
A perfect place normally for me, as it has everything I normally seek. Because there is no tv service, and I would paddle in the early morning hours before it got hot and the wind caused waves, I was typically back at the cabin by 9am or so. Had 12+ hours to kill, as I hadn't planned on leaving the cabin except for 1 day, but that could increase if I got called in to Mahone Bay... So, I saved plenty of work to do on my laptop and internet, and planned to look for hotel rooms for my 3+day drive back, look up restaurant reviews, things to see and do on the way back, and perhaps day trips from the cabin if I found things of interest.
Unfortunately, due to storms, the internet towers were down and there was no internet - and therefore, I couldnt do work, research, find things to do, etc. and was dead in the water as they say. I had to drive into Bridewater every other day, to Dairy Queen to get wifi/internet to get work done and a few other things internet related. Due to the lack of wifi, the days were very long, I couldnt communicate with those who were supposed to send text, call, use messenger, whatsapp, etc. to keep in touch with me or to have me go into town for possible important meetings, etc. Had I known there was no internet available, I might have cancelled as I had lots of things of importance to get done as I had just planned on doing this during the late morning, afternoon and evening every day to occupy my time. Could only read for so long.....
