About this property
Entire place
You'll have the entire home to yourself and will only share it with other guests in your party.
This cozy country cottage located on my 40 acre ranch is the perfect place to recharge completely. When you enter my ranch the long driveway lined with a split rail fence take you over my wooden bridge and guide you to your sanctuary. You will be surrounded by Live Oaks as you sit and have coffee on the quaint front porch, or in the evening enjoy your wine and cocktails with the backdrop of the gorgeous setting sun. At night you can sit by the campfire and roast marshmallows with the provided sticks. I will be happy to start the fire for you. I don’t have horses, but their are cows grazing in the front pasture.
This rental also offers an impressive outdoor kitchen with a hammock, charcoal barbecue, stove, refrigerator, dart board and a big wooden table with a lazy Susan. This is a 1/1 with a king sized bed. It’s meant for two people but the couch does have two comfortable recliners and there is a twin sized blow up mattress available.
Both the outdoor kitchen and the cottage have a full set of dishes and cookware. I provide the coffee, water, and a limited amount of snacks. There are two televisions in the cottage as well as laundry facilities. The cottage seats two for dinner but the outdoor kitchen seats 10. There are board games and cards available if you want to have some good ole fashion fun.
I am a wildlife rehabber so don’t be surprised if Goldie Fawn comes to visit you. I mostly rescue raccoons, but you will not see them unless you want to meet them. My ranch home is located far from yours and we can’t see each other. You will have your privacy but I will be available to answer your questions.
Please view the photos as they speak for themselves. I have stalls available for an extra fee if you are traveling with horses. There is a pond by my house that has Tilapia, Catfish, Brim, and small Bass. You are welcome to fish, just give me a heads up.
I only allow small dogs to run free and I allow larger dogs on a leash. These restrictions are due to my rescue endeavors and the safety of my releases. I have two dogs. but I know they are good with the babies since they helped raise them. I look forward to speaking with you via text or in person. Come and enjoy “The King Ranch”!

Very peaceful, relaxing and away from the hustle and bustle with ample opportunities to see wildlife. We thoroughly enjoyed the outdoor kitchen and our daily visits from Riley the resident ranch dog !
Beautiful in quiet place to stay for nature lovers
Perfect stay for anyone that likes the outdoors. Had everything that you needed already there. Was so quiet and peaceful and comfortable. Enjoyed all the wildlife creatures also that came to visit. Definitely would recommend staying there and I definitely will stay there again. again again staying there and
We had a great time enjoyed the outdoor kitchen area and the fire pit a lot. The deer were fun to feed and watch would definitely recommend it to others.
I was in town for a Men’s Ministry retreat, and this was the perfect little refuge. I needed to recharge the battery in between sessions. It was nice to be in a quiet immersed in nature. I was greeted by the property dog and saw a few deer. It was exactly what I needed. I’ve been happy to stay here again. Next time I’m here for another retreat. Highly recommended.
The cottage is the most peaceful little getaway for us. We loved seeing the animals on the property and the outdoor living spaces were so lovely to use at night for relaxing. The cottage itself was so cute with the raccoon theme and we took advantage of the dvd collection! We will be back soon for sure!
This was a nice place to stay away from the city. The rural setting, birds, and wildlife made resting up from a day of being a tourist easy. Getting to points of interest was simple and LaBelle has good restaurants and shopping for anything you need or forgot. Beverly is very pleasant and quick to resolve any issues - it's nice having her right on the property.
What a perfect escape. I spent 4 nights and was just what I needed to disconnect from the hectic routine of day-to-day in Miami. Accommodations were comfortable (bed was magnificent), clean, and well appointed. The environment was perfect for enjoying solitude. My little dog loved it, and actually made a friend with Riley. I can't wait to return.
So loved our stay.!!!!! Left some mini marshmallows for the next visitors to enjoy the deer up close, was an amazing experience. Perfect spot for some much-needed R&R. Hope to come back sooner than later.

Beverly's cottage is exceptional. Fully stocked with just about anything and everything needed for a comfortable stay. Immaculately clean. It is clear Beverly has prioritized the comfort of her guests. And then there is the property itself. I'm a nature nerd so was thrilled with the treefrogs, deer, a flying squirrel, owls calling after dark, and of course, Beverly's raccoons. Know that the raccoons that Beverly supports on her property do not bother you. If you wish, Beverly will invite you to see them in the evening. If not, you likely won't know they are there. In short order I grew to really like this setting. If you crave privacy, nature and space to roam this is it.
Was playing on VRBO map looking for a place within few hour’s driving range to be off the grid, in nature, quiet, away from people and found this gem. It was a perfect weekend get away and the balance I was looking for as my daily life is go go go.
Beverly is an amazing host, sweet, great with communication. The house was just right but I spent most my weekend in the outdoor hammock and cooked in the kitchen outside. One morning strolled out with my coffee and 5 of her deer came running up to say hi.
There is no cell service, thank god. My friends and family know I ignore my phone anyways but this was easier to just be unreachable outside my means. If you’re looking for a place to slow down and reset this is the property. Few days after my stay and still feeling at peace and smiling. Thank you Beverly great place!
I am constantly on the go and haven't taken time away from my businesses for 10 years, so, I have been long over due in recharging. From the moment I pulled in the driveway, I knew this was the place for me to recharge. The trees, the cows, her dogs, her cat, the deer, the absolute ABSENCE of any city sounds (sirens, car accidents, traffic, crotch rockets, landscapers, etc) had me already decompressing within minutes. The cottage and outdoor kitchen/living area is just like the pics show! And it is CLEAN!! And the raccoon theme throughout is absolutely adorable. Kitchens (there are 2!) are well-stocked. Beverly has provided anything you could possibly need.Washer and dryer are handy. Bed is very comfortable, shower is great!I brought my 28 pound poodle mix with me--he wasn't sure what to think of all the wildlife and not sure he'd convert to a "farm dog" but it was fun seeing his reaction to country living.I'm a farm kid and this vacation is absolutely what I needed to recharge and get away from a stupidly tight schedule, back-to-back meetings, and just the "noise" of life. And, there is a really cute General Store within a mile or two and typical in small towns, everyone was very nice!!!!Regi and I will be back for more re-charge get-aways, for sure!! And, Amazon does deliver out there too!!! I brought a 500 page book and nearly finished it! That's how I roll on a vacation. Unplug from the world.

I was very excited to stay in this cottage and fish in the pond on the property. The cottage is cute, clean, comfortable and well appointed like everyone says. I used both the outdoor kitchen and fire pit. The tame deer were amazing and the border collie very sweet. Also enjoyed watching the cows. Very peaceful.
My issues involve communication. I reached out to Beverly via VRBO the week before my stay to let her know (as requested) I’d like to fish in her pond. I never got a response. When I arrived at the cottage I found it unlocked. I went in, connected to WiFi and texted Beverly to let her know I was there. No response. I texted 45 minutes later and said I was running out for supplies. No response. When I returned she was out in the yard and gave a half hearted wave. I figured for sure she’d come introduce herself while I was unloading. Nope.
I felt awkward at this point. The next morning I tried calling twice and couldn’t get through. I also sent another text. No response. I’d come to fish in the pond, which by the way is on the other side of Beverly’s house and not even visible from the cottage, and didn’t feel comfortable fishing outside someone’s house where I wasn’t welcome. I found other places to fish.
I left this morning, and this afternoon got a text from Beverly saying sorry, her phone’s been down. If that was the case, why not stop by to meet me, leave a note, respond to email or send smoke signals? I would’ve loved to have the same experience as others.
A relaxing and magical place for your escape and mental peace. The place was excellent, and the check-in process was magnificent, with excellent communication from the host. This place is a paradise to clear your mind. Thank you so much for all the attention, Kevin, Lorena and Lilo
Great little hidden gem not far from town. Well appointed cozy place and bonus outdoor kitchen/gathering area. Our pup had a great weekend with us and felt right at home from the onset. Everything was wonderful, we were attending a wedding party at a small ranch on Kirby Thompson and this was an amazing find just down the road. We really enjoyed the wildlife (raccoons, deer, cattle & plenty of birds) and Riley’s (ranch dog) company was a bonus. Definitely a repeat for us. Thank you so much for sharing your little slice of paradise.
