Le Domaine des Dryades

Le Domaine des Dryades

10/10 Excellent
"This is a fabulous hotel. Great value for money, I could have stayed longer. Lovely facilities, spa and food and the view was amazing. We stayed in the delux or premier rooms and they were fantastic. We struggled a little as none of the staff could understand much English, but we managed with google translate. This is defiantly a hidden gem of a hotel."

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in La Motte-Feuilly?
The best area to stay in La Motte-Feuilly is within the hamlet itself, particularly around the Château de La Motte-Feuilly.

This central area offers a very quiet and relaxed setting. You'll find a few local guesthouses and a small selection of eateries, all within walking distance of the historic château. The village is compact, with the church and mairie (town hall) being key landmarks, and it's surrounded by open countryside.

Families often find this area ideal for a peaceful holiday. The open spaces around the village provide room for children to play, and the slow pace of life is great for unwinding. There are opportunities for gentle walks directly from your accommodation, exploring the local fields and woodlands.

For couples seeking a romantic and secluded getaway, staying near the Château is perfect. The historic surroundings and the tranquil atmosphere offer a chance to disconnect and enjoy each other's company.
When is the best time to go to La Motte-Feuilly?
The best time to visit La Motte-Feuilly is during the spring (April to June) and autumn (September to October) months.

During spring, the countryside blossoms with wildflowers, and the weather is pleasantly mild, making it ideal for exploring the local châteaux and gardens. You'll find fewer crowds than in the peak summer months, allowing for a more relaxed experience.

Autumn offers a beautiful display of changing leaf colours, particularly in the surrounding forests, and the temperatures remain comfortable for outdoor activities. This season also aligns with local harvest festivals, providing a chance to sample regional produce.

Families travelling with children might prefer the summer months (July and August) when the weather is warmest for activities like swimming in nearby lakes or enjoying outdoor picnics.
