This is an amazing house build onto the rock face. It is very practical (bearing in mind the steps). All mod cons are included. The mattresses are comfortable. The kitchen is well equipped. It has amazing views of the Tarn river. Despite being here in August we didn't have any problems parking in the village Carpark.
There is so much to see and do around here. We loved the kayaking from Ste enimie to pas du soucis (in two days to have plenty of time for food and swimming). We also really enjoyed the maison des vautours (vultures reintroduced in the area) and Aven Armand (amazing forest of stalagmites). We also enjoyed having dinner at the Table de Lisa. We will be back in the area!
Robert is extremely friendly. He arranged for a replacement fridge the day after the existing one stopped working. La Malene is a great village with several restaurants, boat trips and canoeing and is perfect for exploring the Tarn Gorge.Although we advised Robert that we would be journeying all day, from the 08.00 ferry at St Malo, arriving in La Marlene 18.30/19.00, the hot water system hadn’t been switched on so we were unable to shower until the next morning. We booked a three bedroom two bathroom property, as detailed in the listing, unfortunately Robert only allowed the use of two of the bedrooms??? there is only one bathroom (shower and sink) with two separate toilets, one without a sink and one with only half a door. There was very limited storage for a 10 day stay so we lived out of suitcases. Although this was an inconvenience it didn’t detract from the fabulous Tarn Gorge experience.
Merci Robert

Lovely House
We stayed in the house in 2017 and thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. The house is very well equipped and for all situations and needs. This property is very close to the Gorge du Tarn and there is a lovely view of the Gorge itself from the balcony of the property. A good range of activities are available close by especially kayaking only a short walk away. The owner is extremely helpful. Despite being close to a whole host of activities, the property remains very peaceful and quiet. I would highly recommend this property and is one of the best we have ever stayed in during our many visits to France
