"I booked the property for two people, but a total of three stayed. The owner demanded an additional €300 for a third person via a bank transfer or cash. I called VRBO customer support and they said the third person should stay for free according to the terms of their agreement. More than 3 people would cost more, but for 2 or 3 there is no difference. The most the owner can ask is €6 in tourist tax. Other issues: the WiFi did not work after numerous attempts. "We were a family of 5, 3 adults and 2 kids under 7, and this was our first time in Sardegna. The house was in the perfect location - close to the beaches and to centre of San Teodoro. But the best part of the trip was Massimo - he was so helpful, and got us a rental car when ours fell through, arranged a taxi for our ride to the airport, and gave us great suggestions for the beaches and restaurants nearby. He was always responsive and attentive. Highly recommend!!!!"

"Pros: La casa si trova in una zona molto tranquilla e silenziosa. La piscina condominiale è il fiore all’occhiello di questa casetta, anche perché non c’era mai nessuno e nei giorni di ferragosto è un ottimo luogo in cui riposarsi ed evitare la folla e la calca. "This hotel was lovely, located 10 minutes walk from the town centre so very easy for accessing everything. There is a bit of an uphill walk there but it was fine for us. The staff were lovely and very helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast, coffee, juice, breads and pastries it set us up well for the day ahead. We would highly recommend this hotel for exploring La Maddalena!"

"Property was immaculate. The front desk staff were awesome, Bar staff Mario And his sidekick were great. Mario makes a killer whiskey sour. The restaurants on site were on point and kept the food interesting by shaking up the menu daily. Breakfast was always exceptional and lots of options from American to Italian. The pool is gorgeous and the private beach and water are stunning. There are loungers at pool and beach. There is no hotel bar/ food service down at the beach but there’s a small local bar on beach separate from the hotel. Or you can bring your own drinks/ food. The rooms are perfect and have everything you need. Housekeeping staff are trustworthy as we left valuables in our room and never had an issue. There’s even a small gym if you care to work out on vacation. There’s a spa on site but we never used it as we spent all our time at beach/ pool. The young staff/ employees are still going through some growing pains as the busy season starts but all in all they did a flawless job and will only get better and better with time. This stay was 11 out of 10, so great !! Thanks to the Cala Staff !! "

"This was one of the best vacations we have ever had in this resort. The beach was one of the best I’ve spent 14 days at, the pool was nice too. The amenities they provided like shower gel, shampoo, conditioner and body lotion all acqua Parma high end products. I had a spacious room and housekeeping came twice a day and did a great job. I attended a start of summer party which they did very well with everything included, live music, drinks and gourmet food from their restaurant Gusto, it was a great night. Tuesday is pizza night where they have a pizza truck on the premises for 30 euros per individual pizza, fun night. On Wednesday they had Sardo night with traditional local entertainment and typical Sardinian food also a fun evening. The maître d'hôtel would come around in their restaurant and explain the fresh fish available and how it is prepared, one night they prepared for me half lobster with pasta and red sauce for 118 euros. Local Sardinian wines were available and delicious, I pretty much ordered the same one daily for 60 euros. Breakfast was either buffet or order from a menu with eggs made to order or a buffet with everything you can imagine all included with your room. I didn’t have a rental car but if you wanted to experience another restaurant in neighboring towns it was 10 euros per head each way on their shuttle. They have a wonderful bar area with live music daily, I had a grey goose 18 euros with club soda 10 euros extra, my wife had an aperol spritz 23 euro "
