"This is a lovely hotel, w/ a great staff, and in a fabulous town. The hotel provides extremely easy access to take a walk along the shore, as well as see the seals across the street. And the very easy parking is a real bonus, given how hard it is to find a place to park in town. "

"Our stay was perfect. The staff was incredibly friendly. Our room was clean and the balcony was a lovely place to have coffee in the morning and watch the sunset at night. Would definitely stay here again! "
"We love the this hotel. The staff is delightful, rooms are large and while a little dated very clean and well appointed. Breakfast is amazing, including sitting right in front of the ocean views with coffee and eggs.
And the location… Absolutely amazing!"
"We loved the La Jolla Shores Hotel! Our room was clean, bright, and included everything we needed. Staff was courteous and helpful. Our coastline view was beautiful! We enjoyed sitting on our balcony, walking on the beach and relaxing in our lovely room. Would definitely come and visit again!"
"Details: We stayed at this establishment coming in early October. We also rented a car for vacation as well. The room was a single room 1 king bed. Our view was mainly of prospect street and not the view of the ocean. This was not an issue for us. Valet is included in the stay and is covered by a $150 (subject to change) hospitality fee. Tipping is optional and they have a QR code to tip if no cash available.
Location: The hotel is located in the heart of La Jolla Cove, 2 blocks away from the ocean and the cove where the Sea lions attraction is, as well as the ellen browining scripps park.
Service: Front desk was welcoming and very accommodating to our needs. They gave us all the upfront information about our stay, information about the charge on my card which is credit in the event we use any amenities they provide for us (bike rentals, food service, etc.), as well as providing a safeguard on our belongings as we were an hour and a half early prior to check in.
Valet is very prompt, polite, and careful with our rental car. They have an offsite garage where they store cars if not in long term use, and have limited side parking on site if you notify them about plan to use car soon.
Room: Room was on the smaller side but was clean when we stayed. Bathroom was clean, sheets were free of bugs and stains, room well kept despite age. Only real issue was the carpet could use a deep clean. found myself with dirty feet if barefoot for a period of time.
Great hospitality
