Amazing house, more space than we could even use, the host team was great, and the home cooked dinners and breakfasts (arranged with Yadi, the amazing woman who lives in a separate home on the property) were the best food we had in CR. The place was spotless, perfect, and a very easy ten minute drive to everything in Fortuna. Loves it.

Awesome home for our family!

The home is absolutely gorgeous and the entire property is perfect! Our family aging from 8-70 years old enjoyed staying on site, taking excursions, walking to town and definitely loved the meals prepared by Yadira. It was a trip of a lifetime! Thank you for sharing your beautiful home!

Lovey house with beautiful grounds

We really enjoyed our stay at this villa. The back of house opens to the wonderful grounds and pool. It was a perfect place for relaxing after a busy sightseeing day. The activities and drivers provided by the concierge Jordy were great.

A wonderful stay at a beautiful property!

We had a wonderful time at The Ranch Villa Arenal! The house and grounds are beautiful and the staff was warm and welcoming. We enjoyed the pool and hot tub and sitting on the porch at night. The Ranch was close to all of our activities in the area. We would highly recommend this property!

La Fortuna

The house, property and staff were great. Amazing house with plenty of room for the family (6 people). Everyone loved the pool, hot tub, outside area and short walk to El Tanque's downtown. Downtown had a couple of grocery stores, bakeries and restaurant. Plus a short drive to La Fortuna.

Perfect home base for adventures around La Fortuna

The house and grounds were beautiful and so well kept. The backyard and pool area was the perfect spot to hang out after a long day of adventure. We had one meal prepared by Yadi which was delicious! Another plus of the villa were restaurants and grocery stores well within walking distance. Will absolutely consider Rancho Villa Arenal for future visits.

Relaxing paradise

The Ranch Villa Arenal is a gorgeous house and property. We felt at home and fell in love with Yadi the house keeper/cook and Joaquin the grounds keeper. Yadi cooked a delicious breakfast every day and Joaquin entertained us with tours of the working ranch. The Fortuna area offers many activities for all age groups. Our family had a fantastic time and highly recommend this property. Pura Vida.

Amazing time at the Ranch Villa Arenal

I cannot say enough positive things about our stay. Jorge was an amazing host with amazing staff. Jordy, the concierge was so responsive and helpful with organizing everything for our stay. Yadi, the chef, made the yummiest food for our group and Joaquin, the Gardner, gave us a fun and interactive tour of the property. My husband and friends raved about the house and grounds. Would 100% stay here again!

Paradise

Ranch Villa is paradise!!The photos do not do it justice!The excellent staff are friendly and very accommodating.Joaquin took some of us on a farm and property tour. It was very fun. His horticulture knowledge is outstanding. We had Yadira and her co worker prepare 2 meals for us. The food is amazing. We are all sad to leave this beautiful place.There were 11 of us staying and all had more than enough space. We took advantage of the pool and hot tub as much as we could.

What a beautiful place. We felt so special and welcome. The grounds are impressive and clean. Each day the pool area gets cleaned . We had ladies fix our meal 2x and the prices were very reasonable. There is someone on the grounds who would help us with anything. Everything we did was close by.

Looks like the listing. Great overall stay will a large group of friends. Huge property with lots to see (fruits, birds, etc) and pool w/ hot tub. Water pressure can be low at times if more than 1 person is using a shower.

Complete Oasis

This property will blow your mind. The grounds are impeccable and would match any expensive botanical garden. There's a gorgeous yoga studio & gazeboamongst the garden. Picture perfect pool area with a hot and very large hot tub! The outdoor living space was huge and where we ate our meals, had coffee, and listened to all the jungle noises when it rained. Rooms were comfortable, house was giant and plenty of room to spread out! Jordy was SO helpful for the weeks passing up to our trip. His excursion recommendations were perfect and we were thankful to have a local person arranging the transportation and the tours so that we didn't have to. There's a few restaurants, local shops and grocery within walking distance. Everyone we meet were so nice. If we ever get to come back to Vista Rica we will DEFINITELY come back here!! Believe me-- you won't be disappointed!!

Beautiful, authentic property with lots of charm and history

We had a great time at Ranch Villa Arenal. The grounds are absolutely stunning and well taken care of. The house is lovely, though rustic and has no air conditioning in the common areas (just in bedrooms) and screens are only on some of the windows (so there were more bugs than we’re used to). The home is rich in history and has a very “Costa Rica authentic feel.” The master bedroom was recently renovated and charming. The home is centrally located for many activities but while it is set back from the street and generally quiet, there was a concert / party one night we were there at a school across the street that was quite loud until around 10:30 PM. The hosts were very attentive to our needs and came daily to clean inside and take care of the grounds. Very gracious and kind.

Beautiful Tropical Oasis

Cannot say enough about this beautiful oasis. My family of five adults and four children (2, 5, 8, and 9) stayed at this beautiful villa for a week. We truly enjoyed our stay. There was plenty of room for all of us and it had a pool, hot tub, a porch with a great view, gorgeous grounds, and playground for the children. The check in and check out processes were easy. The villa was located close to activities we chose to do. The host Jorge, concierge Jordy, the groundskeeper Joaquin, and housekeeper/cook Yadi were all awesome. They were responsive and helpful. Joaquin was there every day to keep the grounds and pool beautiful, and to take care of anything we needed. He took us on a wonderful tour of the grounds. Yadi and another staff member kept the villa clean and cooked (including cleanup) delicious meals for us (breakfast and dinners/Costa Rican). It was nice having the option to have meals during our stay especially when we arrived and after long days. The prices were reasonable. We highly recommend this villa.

A Hidden Gem in Arenal – Perfect Retreat!

We had the most amazing stay at this property in Arenal! The grounds are absolutely stunning – lush and well-maintained, creating a peaceful and beautiful environment for relaxation. The pool is gorgeous, and the outdoor living spaces (including a dining area and cozy living room) made it easy to enjoy the perfect Costa Rican weather. The jacuzzi was a highlight, especially after a full day of exploring Arenal and La Fortuna. It was the ideal way to unwind and relax under the stars.The hosts were incredibly responsive to all our needs. Yadi prepared delicious meals for us, and we were able to pre-purchase groceries, so everything was ready and waiting when we arrived. We felt truly taken care of.A special shout-out to Juanquin, who gave us a personal tour of the grounds. He showed us all the fruits growing on the property and even cut down coconuts straight from the tree for us to taste the freshest coconut water we’ve ever had!One of the highlights of our stay was the beautiful pavilion in the garden. We used it for a little yoga and zen time mid-week, which added an extra layer of tranquility to our vacation.Overall, this place offers the perfect blend of adventure and relaxation, and we couldn’t have asked for a better experience. Highly recommend to anyone looking to explore the Arenal/La Fortuna area while enjoying an incredibly peaceful and unique stay.

Amazing Property

Well this place surpassed our expectations. The grounds were absolutely immaculate, and host was so responsive and helpful. Yadi and Joaquin were both extremely helpful and kind. I highly recommend you have Yadi prepare you the traditional Casados with Fish for lunch or dinner one day. It was one of our favorite meals in Costa Rica. The pool was lovely and kept very clean. We loved the little town of El Tanque and lots of stuff a short walk like bakery, super mercado, Victorino's (good restaurant), Empanadas stand, etc. Close enough to La Fortuna and all the activities that are offered in the region. I highly recommend Jalapas if looking for a nice lunch or dinner with views of the Volcano and valley. Luis and his wife were both very nice and live next door and have an amazing garden. Food and service were outstanding! We hired a driver with a van to stay with us for our entire stay and it worked out perfectly and made our trip more enjoyable. You will not be disappointed with this home and so grateful for the family for sharing it with us. It is truly a very special "home".

Loved By All

Our family of 13, ages 73 to 5, stayed for 7 days at this property. The moment we stepped into this villa we felt "on vacation". It has its own personality seeped in history not a bland cookie cutter house. The outstanding landscaping made you feel you were in a remote area yet you are actually within walking distance of necessities and only a few minutes from La Fortuna. The grounds were planted to attract local wildlife and we were always entertained by these visitors. Jaquin gave us an educated farm tour (he is the diamond at this villa) of the crops, answered any questions that we had and went out of his way to be helpful. One suggestion would involve the many light switches throughout this large home and grounds. After a week we still had not figured out where some were located. Labeling them or a detailed diagram in the house manual would be very helpful. The extra bedroom on the main floor is perfect as a handicap room. It has sliding door to bathroom and walk in shower with shower chair. Our family has been home a few days and we miss it already.
