This property is amazing. The garden is like a small tropical jungle. There are an open library area, kitchen, small swimming pool, and rest area. The room is clean. The only complaint is that you have to ask for a hair blower from the staff. Otherwise, highly recommended!

Wonderful and helpful staff! Very good breakfast and restaurant. My one complaint is the traffic noise. Though, this is a general problem in Fortuna.

This is a great location. The breakfast was delicious. It rained the whole time so we didn’t get a chance to visit the pool but it looked nice. I didn’t like the showers. No water pressure and wasn’t very warm. Overall, great value for the location!

Overall: We had a good stay here. Cons: We got a room right next to the main road, so the noise was a constant factor. The wifi did not work in the room and you had to go to the pool area for access. Pros: The breakfast was very nice. The staff was very courteous and accommodating. You can have pizza for dinner in the same place where breakfast is served and get a discount. Close to most attractions and lots of other dining options.

The rooms are super cute here and the restaurant attached is nice, great food. It's right outside of the busy part of Fortuna and really easy to get around walking, taxis, shuttles or rental car. If you do have your own car there's gated parking which is a great feature. Everyone was really nice and helpful.

Fine But For Noise
The noise problem really brings the place down. You can hear everything in neighboring rooms and every vehicle that goes down the street. The price is reasonable, the rooms themselves were fine, the staff were very helpful, and the free breakfast was good. It also has some nice common spaces.

Very cozy and quiet hotel. Lots of green bushes and flowers right behind our window. Felt like we stayed in botanical garden. Kitchen available for convenience.

We stayed at this property for four days. The checkin process was smooth and the staff at this hotel was excellent. As soon as we checked in the hotel, the bathroom flush was broken and the water was everywhere in the bathroom. They had someone come in and fix the issue. Again the same thing happened the next day and we had to call the service person to come in and "fix" again. The day before we checked out the hotel, staff asked us to shift our room to a different room since they were over booked and it was easy to shift us from our current room. We did oblige the request as the staff was nice and didn't have much choice and it was holiday season. Overall, the stay was okay and the staff was pleasant and the location was convenient. The management should look into fixing the property and better managing hotel bookings during the peak season.

Hello, first thank you for your comment and also for visiting us, any criticism will always be welcome, it helps us to improve and motivates us, we apologize for the case that we had to move you to another room, it was our mistake and our system, we did not realize it late and we could not avoid it,About the water that came out of the toilet, here in Costarica we do not put the paper inside the toilet because if it does not clog and what happened happens, unfortunately in Costarica there are no plumbing and drains as advanced, powerful or large as in other places, despite the mishaps I hope you liked your stay with us.

Great service, very clean, and great complimentary breakfast of local cuisine daily! The hotel was very conveniently located as it was walking distance to many restaurants and a short drive into town.

The only issue was the lack of hot water in showers except at low pressure. Not good after a day of activities in the heat.

Rooms are pretty basic but functional if you don’t spend too much time there. Like a higher end hostel with shared kitchen facilities, common lounge and pool. Well kept. The best part is the adjoining Vagabondo Pizzeria next door- food is great! A cute, affordable boutique hotel.

We liked the location and the beds. We did not like that the hotel is not pet friendly. Many visitors from the US, including myself, have Service animals.

Cabin Feel
Cute little place in La Fortuna. The service was great, and the room so clean. They have a beautiful view of the volcano from the pool. They offer cooked to order breakfast which was delicious we stayed three nights. My only complaint was the AC was a little loud. But I think they were upgrading their systems because our went out twice and once we had to call maintenance to get it back on. I would stay here again.

The hotel rooms are clean with a nice outdoor common area and kitchen. The hotel is next to a restaurant where breakfast is served to hotel guests. Easy access to multiple activities in La Fortuna.

Hotel was very clean, rancho well appointed, staff professional and very helpful. Vagabondo's Italian restaurant/pizzeria on site is excellent. The hotel and restaurant owner is very personable and helpful. Would highly recommend this property for a stay in La Fortuna

Pool much smaller than it looks on websites. Hot water for shower very hard to learn to use. I had a couple cold showers before I figured it out. Not much for English speaking help. Clean room. Our room was bordered by an alleyway that is a service entrance to a hotel. The trucks were very noisy in the morning. Great location with good meals within walking distance. We were offered 20% off with cash purchase at at pizza restaurant next door. Parking area is small and some late arrivals had 4 bars blocked in the morning. Glad I wasn’t scheduled for a tour that morning! Stayed 5 nights.

Flooding in the 1. room, construction noise, beginning at 5 am, in the 2. room. Internet was mostly bad and the pool did not look very inviting when we arrived. Restaurant was the worst we had in our 3 days in La Fortuna !

Our room smelled badly of mold -- it was so bad we both got bad headaches. They told us they were full and couldn't give us another room but when we told them we knew another person staying at hotel had switched they finally agreed. Our next room was better but air conditioner was broken. I would never recommend this hotel.

Nothing to do with the pictures shown. Room was old and not very clean. Staff was not very friendly. Very noisy as it is very close to the main road, you can hear cars all night. The booklet and the TV remote control were so dirty that you did not want to touch them. Breakfast is ok.

This hotel has no a/c - but I didn’t teally need it; the fan was more than ok. It was clean and the bed was comfy. Breakfast was delicious and the receptionist lady was very cery nice and attentive! Will stay here again.

Good location and great staff
The hotel has a good location to explore around. The staff is very helpful and is responding to emails in fast way. The rooms are equipped with AC which is good. They are however a bit old. But overall its a good place to stay with a very good restaurant next to it.

Good location. Walking distance to town.
This hotel was modest and perfect for a couple nights. Very well located in LaFortuna and close to Arenal. Walking distance to town. Several good restaurants very close. This is a small hotel but well run. Cable TV with several US stations. Hot water was good. Clean room. I would stay there again.
