"Room was clean and quiet. Not a new hotel, but very well maintained! Comfortable bed . No strange smells. A good size refrigerator with a freezer (dorm size). The pool was warm and so was the hot tub and sauna. All were comfortable to use the pool area was well maintained and clean. Restaurant/bar seemed nicely busy…didn’t try. The coffee station was always clean and supplied with coffee/hot water/teas/hot cocoa, even honey sticks. No powder creamer😛, it was nice half and half creamers and flavored creamers. There were some pre pack muffins and a basket of fruit. Over all stay was very nice, nicer than many of the poorly built chain hotels that seem to be over priced and not as well maintained. Great job Baraga Lakeside Inn!"

"This was an amazing, winter wonderland kind of vacation, and our hosts were responsive and incredibly thoughtful as we found ourselves there during a blizzard and potential power outage. They reached out to us (not the other way around, as we were still traveling and hadn’t seen the weather reports), offering candles, water, and snow shoveling to make sure our stay remained safe, comfortable and fun. We never lost power but we remained impressed by the level of care provided. The home is intentionally more remote and that’s why we were drawn to it - it’s an easy drive to Baraga, Houghton, or Hancock, and it still provides privacy and a feeling of being in the wilderness. If you’re interested in a dog sledding experience, there is a reputable dog sledding business just about a 10 minute drive from the house. We loved the sauna, the rooms and spaces are all exactly as described, and we had an all around lovely time. "

"We had an excellent stay here while in the area for a wedding! The house had everything that we needed plus some! Close to everything, views of the bay, etc. be aware of over night parking rules in the winter (on road). "

"Great place to stay. So quiet! Perfect for my husband to hunt during the day and comfortable enough to unwind!! Kitchen nicely stocked with cooking supplies. They even left fresh eggs (upon request) in the fridge. Would definitely stay again!!"

"The cabin was cute, very outdoorsy but really cool. We tried to count all the bears in the cabin, we never could come up with an actual count. We looked all around in our adventure to the north for a bear to add and could not find one. Really nice place. The traffic was a bit much the first night but we got used to it. The fireplace was awesome, we missed our real one and it brought us home. Lynn was a pleasure to deal with she even surprised us with coffee pods one day. She was so sweet. Lynn thank you for everything, we left you a couple extra glasses, a coaster (my wife has an issue, she needs a coaster) and a throw pillow to add since we could not find a bear. Thank you, definitely will consider coming back. "
