The hotel is very new and comfortable. It has the best breakfast during our trip in Japan. The location is close to many attractions, and a convenient store crosses street; however, it was too hot to walk in August, so walking to attractions is almost impossible. We used Uber and taxi, each trip is about $3-$4, very convenient and affordable. The only issue we had is our booking change via Expedia. We booked three rooms and made requests to check out one day earlier in two months in advance. However, we only got refund for 2 out of 3 rooms, and hotel refused to refund us the 3rd room. There is a communication issue between the hotel and Expedia. We hope we will get out refund soon.

Lovely and charming stay!
I really enjoyed my stay. The immediate area was quiet, but there were more options within a 10 min walk (market, bakeries, Korean restaurant). Great shower pressure and the bed was pretty comfortable. I didn't get a chance to use the free bikes. Oh, and check-in was easy and efficient as I could do it beforehand. It minimized time standing around at the front desk. Free bottled water was included and there were some free drinks near check-in. Bus access was easy for me. I forgot an item and it was recovered. I would recommend it and would consider staying again.

Definitely recommend this hotel!
Clean, good breakfast, close to the Kamogawa river. Doesn't have a great view but the hotel stuff was really nice to set up a surprise bday message for my husband!

We’ve enjoyed our stay in this place. The staffs are very friendly and helpful. Location is great, with easy access to everything restaurants, shop, etc. Room is clean and quiet. Will recommend to anyone who is finding a place to stay in Kyoto!

This is quite a new hotel. Larger rooms than the usual tiny Japanese rooms in older hotels. The bathrooms seem to have been carefully designed. Shampoo/conditioner and other amenities are very much appreciated of their quality. Locationwise: excellent.

I stayed in Kyoto for three nights and the room was not only reasonably sized but also had great tea making facilities, even a green tea pot that I nearly messed up by putting a wafer inside instead of matcha tea. Another thing I liked about the hotel was that they put a bag with a newspaper of your language on your door handle every day which was a nice touch.

Peaceful, spacious, comfortable and convenient. Japanese style accommodations and design. With a lot more room than you find normally. DEFINITELY with the price. The location is perfect. Close to transportation, in a quiet neighborhood with so many choices for unique and delicious food and drink. Amazing view from the ground floor to the top floor. This hotel captures the beautiful spirit of Kyoto.

This hotel is very clean and modern and nice to stay. Worth the slight walk from from Kyoto station (approx 15-20mins) but very short stroll to Kyoto Main Street and pontocho street, also close to river and local train station. About 2km to the Goin but also walkable. Nice restaurants within hotel and within street. Has spacious room, comfortable space and bed and full in-room bathroom facilities, hairdryer, USB charging ports bedside, tea and coffee making facilities, complementary water and small bar fridge. Would highly recommend staying here.

The location couldn’t have been better. Easy neighborhood walking in all directions. We enjoy exploring and found the hotel to be central to all we needed. Plenty of eateries, local markets and touring interests. Quiet area near river and canal crossing into Gion. Room was immaculate and comfortable in size and layout. Loved the tea set and pjs/slippers. The hotel is contemporary and zen-like. English speaking reception staff was a plus. Great WiFi. Exceeded expectations and would definitely return.

we had such an amazing room with the mountain view on the top floor, the hotel was exceptionally spacious considering size of hotel room in Japan is usually small. We reached Kyoto earlier and they are strict about check in time at 3 pm, but it was worth the wait! The room was extremely clean with great details and great quality of toiletries, tea/coffee etc. The location is amazing, the street next to it is so beautiful beside a canal with many great restaurants. also other good areas in walking distance. It was indeed a great experience we had in a long time. We will definitely go back to stay here again!

Great location within waking distance of Gion and Teramachi Dori shopping mall. Staff are exceptionally helpful and speak great English if you need. The hotel is brand new and the room are very clean. The breakfast is to die for! Will definitely come back, one of the most comfortable hotels I've stayed in.

Very unique, useful room structure, amenities (including a nespresso machine which was beautiful), very large room, beautiful bathroom and separate toilet and shower/bathroom was wonderful. Location is excellent. Within walking distance to many temples and right on the 205 city bus line. I definitely recommend this property and would love to stay there again.

It was so nice to come back to a comfortable bed after a full day of walking in and around Kyoto. The TV has English movies which we found nice after coming back late and before falling asleep. The staff are very friendly and speak very good English. The hotel is very close to Nishiki Markets and the metropolitan Kyoto area. I would like to stay here again!

3 great nights in Kyoto
Hotel was well located for catching bus or raped transit. Close to restaurants of varied cuisine. Staff was very friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful. Rooms good size for Japan and very clean & modern.
