Great area! Great staff! Great service! Only concern was the moldy smell in the room. But we didn’t really spend much time there and we didn’t ask to be changed to a different room so maybe not all the rooms smell like that. Otherwise, we enjoyed our stay!

I loved this hotel! Easy check in and check out, excellent location, comfortable room and bedding, and the breakfast buffet was so good. Also i loved the pjs they gave us to borrow at night. The staff was so great too, really friendly and spoke basic English and helped us with transporting our luggage back to Tokyo.

We had a great stay. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. Breakfast is really good. Easy walking distance to Nishiki Market and Gion.

Great location, big room, very helpful staff. You can walk to so many restaurants, bars, and interesting places. Gion is the center of Kyoto. Lots of coffee shops nearby, underground stations. Everything you need.

Room was quiet and clean. Laundry room small, but efficient and very easy to use. Breakfast was good. Location is perfect. Bus stops right in front the hotel, there is a metro station nearby, and has lot of shops, markets, and restaurants around.

The hotel staff are extremely helpful and friendly. I appreciated all their assistance during my stay. This spot is right on a Main Street with a lot of shopping, restaurants and nightlife. The Gion district is in walking distance too which was lovely to see during cherry blossom season. Highly recommend choosing this place if you want to visit Kyoto.

This hotel was in a great spot for a walking tourist. Not a far walk from Nishiki Market, Gion District, or the train station in Kyoto. Foot massage parlors, restaurants, convenient stores, pharmacies, and shopping were right outside the front doors. Rooms are small, but complementary toiletries were available in the lobby as well as pajamas in the bedrooms.

A great location close to Nishiki Market and abundant shopping and dining. The rooms were typical of Japanese business hotels and had enough space for 2 people. The breakfast was inexpensive and had many homemade items to choose from. The only negative was that the beds were not very comfortable but we find this to be true at many places in Japan.

Perfect location for shopping and dining. Do note that there is no driveway for a drop off as reception is on the second floor - so your driver will need to do a quick stop along the street (no shelter when it's raining). Reception very helpful with helping forward our excess shopping to the airport. Perfect location for access to the subway and Hankyu railway too. The breakfast buffet was so-so and I'd probably skip it if I stay here next time.

Staff were all very nice…place was clean and room was great. Location is ideal for food, bars, everything, right when you walk out front you’re on a perfectly busy street to head anywhere. Absolutely you should stay here

Location is excellent. However only one thing, my daughter lost the card key and told the front desks that we lost card when we checked out. The front desks charged me ¥1500 for replacement!!!!! Really? We paid because we lost. Be careful everyone. You have to keep your card key. It cost me a lot!!!!!!

I thought the sliding room to separate the beds from the sink/bathroom were interesting! The Japanese breakfast was delicious, also had a pretty decent selection of Western items for breakfast. The staff was very accommodating, able to hold luggage after check out and provided us with fresh linens and towels every night! Very convenient location, right in between a lot of stores, markets and restaurants! just a short walk to the train station.
