Birdhouse Kyle - Charming family get away. No feathers required!

The secluded setting and well-designed entertainment space were great. The owner was responsive and helpful. We loved being close to Old Town Kyle, and the property had plenty of room for our family. Comfortable beds, large and inviting bathrooms, and a fully stocked kitchen made our stay perfect.

Perfect faimly getaway!

This was a great place to rest and relax. We really didn’t have a reason to leave as we felt comfortable and felt we could enjoy the property. We all enjoyed the pool!

We really enjoyed our stay at the birdhouse. The place was very cozy and perfect to unwind! We absolutely loved the pool and deck. Michael, the host, was great and there when you need him. Would absolutely stay again whenever in the area

Just adorable!!!

The property is just as pictured. Maybe even roomier than it looked. Everything was updated and super clean. Lots of space for everyone to spread out. We were here for a wedding and it gave us a great location to meet up. The beds were comfortable !overall we just had a wonderful time.

Very nice and clean

The home was clean and comfortable and equipped with everything we needed for our stay. The outdoor space was very nice but but our stay was very short and did not have the time to sit and relax. We will book again in the future and stay longer.

Thanksgiving Gathering

Relaxing, spacious, and fun. Slept well the beds were comfortable. Bathrooms were very nice we enjoyed the clawfoot tub! Kitchen easy to cook in since we hosted a thanksgiving here. Loved the firepit, swing hammock and yard area. The window views are very nice. Cowboy Pool was fun amd different. Would recommend and will return.

5 Star Stay

We had an amazing time at this beautiful Vrbo property. The place was absolutely gorgeous, and the pictures don't do it justice. The entire property was sparkling clean and very well-maintained. It was a truly relaxing and enjoyable stay. Our host for the property ,Michael, was incredibly helpful and responsive throughout our stay. He was always available to answer any questions we had and went above and beyond to ensure we had everything we needed. Overall, this property is a true gem. We can't wait to return!

Wedding Weekend Getaway

This was the perfect place to stay for our wedding at Texas Old Town down the road. We stayed with 5 other friends, and were very comfortable during our 3 day/2 night stay. There was a large open kitchen with everything you needed to cook a meal and great table for everyone to hang out at together. We loved the wide open back yard space and hot tub/pool area. There was a cute little orange cat that showed up during our weekend that we were happy to have hanging out. One thing to note is that both bathrooms are located downstairs, so keep that in mind when planning sleeping arrangements. Overall, we loved it and would stay at again. Thank you for hosting us!

Relaxing Getaway

The Birdhouse was a wonderful little getaway for my family. The loft was a favorite for my kids. We only have two, but could easily sleep 10! The two downstairs bedrooms were so comfortable and spacious. The decorative accents were such a beautiful touch. The pictures don’t do this home justice! I would choose this as my go to every time I’m in the area! There were thunderstorms but in this beautiful home, we were hardly affected by the noise! I give it a 10 out of 10!!

Retirement celebration

We have stayed in several VRBO's in addition to owning one for a number of years. The listing is pretty accurate but experienced several things during our stay that has since been communicated with the property owner. I would say that the home is comfortable overall, and that most of the beds are comfortable also. We had 8 ladies in our group so it was nice for everyone to have their own space to sleep. The stairs can be an issue for someone with limited mobility, as they are trimmed out with a lip on the edge. We didn't use the outside during our stay, but it was adequate. Some general landscaping upgrades would be nice. The "Birdhouse" shares driveway space with another small rental (parking is clearly marked for both properties and there is plenty of it). Also beware that pulling out onto the road leaving the property has moderate traffic and can be difficult to see oncoming cars. There is plenty of storage in the kitchen and a small pantry that can accommodate a few things. The home is centrally located to many things, so it's pretty convenient.

My friends and I stayed here at the Birdhouse and we had a wonderful time! There was plenty of space and every room was comfortable. Michael the host was very attentive. I would definitely come back and stay at the Birdhouse again!

Great for family getaway

My 3 year old loved the cowboy pool and didn’t want to leave. It was nice to check out San Marcos nearby for some fun at a park and restaurant off the river (Kerbey Lane).

Good vibes, nice design but some flaws in the guest experience. Make sure door code is right. Make sure basic amenities are at house—no hangers, no hand soap in bathroom, no dish towels. Faucet handles fell off in master shower. Lots of dings and dirty walls and door surfaces. “Pool” unusable as has a leak and is only several inches deep. Overall, not our best experience.

Amazing host and property

We loved our stay at the birdhouse. It is everything it says it is in the listing and so much more. We booked for our family of 10 and had plenty of room to spare. Our host Mike was easy to reach and provided answers to all our questions. Would definitely recommend and we will definitely return.

The cabin was lovely! great architecture. Unique which always makes a vacation cool :). The upstairs is a total dude or chick getaway or a nice safe place to send the kids. But then again, the grounds themself are wide open play play play space. We fell in love with the cowboy pool that is very well maintained like the rest of the house.so much space to get sun, relax outside, barbecue, and simply relax! There were absolutely no intrusions. A total private space to celebrate all we have in this life and have fun.I personally loved the kitchen table. It's long and huge like my Ashley at home. Michael is easy to communicate with and always just a text or phone call away. The place is very well managed and a perfect place for a family and friends vacation.Thank you, Michael for providing the perfect place for our much needed private and spacious getaway!You and your home are appreciated!Genita Mason

Great access to San Marcos

I rented this property for myself and 3 of my co-workers, who were in town to attend a 3-day training at Texas State Univ. It was 13mins from the university and it was great to be able to stay together. We each had plenty of place to ourselves, and it was clean and very neatly decorated. The reservation process was simple and Michael communicated in a timely manner. The check out procedures were super easy and reasonable. It was a cool little property and I’d love to make this an annual tradition because we send a team to this training every year. Worth staying for sure! Would love to come back when it’s warmer to enjoy that cowboy pool out back!
