Would return here if back in Kumasi

This is a brand new hotel and still smells and looks like it. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The internet is strong and reliable. The property has a power generator which ensures that the frequent power cuts are not a nuisance to guests. The buffet is varied but doesn't change much. The food itself is good.

I loved the bartender in the evening!

For Kumasi, I feel this is the best you will get for hospitality and comfort. The halls are a little dated but it was ok. The food was great, drinks were great, and my favorite was breakfast! Ask for Julian or Julius for drinks! He is awesome!!

Average 3 star hotel but not brilliant

Small standard double rooms that are claustrophobic, painted an awful green colour, and have little access to natural light. If you can - get a superior or deluxe room. Hotel restaurant is dimly lit. The food is exceedingly average for the price and one meal gave me food poisoning. The gym is basically just a treadmill and a dumbbell. This hotel is "ok" and as a cheaper alternative to the Golden Tulip it passes the mark but only if you lower your expectations.

Living life like its golden

This was a great experience. The 3rd hotel I've stayed in at Kumasi and it was head and heels above the others. The front desk staff (Anita was great) Stadford the team leader In restaurant recommended one of the best if not meal I ever had in Africa. The rooms are nice a clean. This was simply a slam dunk all the away around: staff, service, food, convenience, wifi, cleanliness. It really lived up to its name for it was GOLDEN

Mediocre and overpriced

Golden Bean would be a reasonably overpriced chain hotel if not on Ghana. The booking through Hotels.com had not been checked so I was made to feel as though I was trying to cheat them for about 90minutes before they resolved their issues with a booking intermediary. No apology and no feature of recompense was made. Will avoid GB in the future even if it means paying more elsewhere.
