"We get to the hotel and greet the receptionist and say we have a reservation and she starts speaking in german and say we don't have a reservation (i think) in a very angry way, and when i didn't understand she got even angrier and gesticulates at us, and then guy shows up that speaks good enough english and we ask what's wrong and he says nothing and we get our key.

8/10 Good

"The location was excellent for meeting up with our family. The walk to the centre of town was not far. We enjoyed our stay."

Quiet vacation home between Müritz and Kölpinsee

10/10 Excellent

Comfortable Sweden house, bathing beach at the lake, entrance to Müritz National Park

8/10 Good

Holidays at Godendorfer See 300m, rowing boat, dog on request, fireplace, 2x toilet, 2 bedrooms

10/10 Excellent

Frequently asked questions

What is the best area to stay in Krukow?

The best area to stay in Krukow is directly within the village centre, particularly around the main road, Dorfstraße.

This central area of Krukow offers a pleasant, quiet setting, typical of a small German village. Dorfstraße is the main thoroughfare, lined with traditional houses and leading directly to the local church and village green. It's an ideal spot for those seeking a tranquil retreat away from the hustle and bustle, with easy access to the surrounding countryside.

Couples looking for a peaceful escape will find the village centre particularly appealing. The area provides a calm environment superb for relaxing strolls, enjoying the local scenery, and unwinding. Many of the guesthouses and holiday flats here offer a personal touch, often with gardens or outdoor seating areas, creating a cosy base for exploring the Mecklenburg region.

For families, staying in the village centre provides a welcoming and open setting. Children can enjoy the freedom of the village green and nearby open spaces. Many accommodations are well-equipped for family stays, offering more space and often self-catering facilities, which is convenient for longer visits.

When is the best time to go to Krukow?

The best time to go to Krukow is during the late spring, summer, and early autumn months, from May to September, when the weather is most agreeable for outdoor activities.

During these months, the temperatures are generally mild to warm, making it ideal for exploring the natural beauty of the Mecklenburg Lake District. You'll find the countryside lush and green, and the lakes are great for swimming, boating, or simply relaxing by the water. This period also sees the longest daylight hours, allowing for extended sightseeing and leisurely evenings.

Couples looking for a peaceful getaway will particularly enjoy May, June, and September. These months offer pleasant weather without the peak crowds of mid-summer, providing a more tranquil experience for walks through the forests or quiet moments by the lake.

Families often find July and August to be the most suitable time. While these months are the warmest and most popular, they coincide with school holidays, making it convenient for family trips.
