"Stated at the a&o Berlin Hauptbahnhof from September 19 - 21 for the Berlin Marathon. They have a self-check in process using kiosk when you enter. This option did not work for me as the Expedia number and that which was on my Expedia confirmation were different. A member of the staff assisted me with checking in via the Kiosk and activating my door key. I was not satisfied with the cleanliness of the room that was reserved and my request to switch the room was met with satisfaction. The room was very clean and my stay from that moment was exceptional. During my stay, I utilized local options at the Berlin Hauptbahnhof Station. I also utilized the supermarket Kaufland to buy groceries to refrigerate. Most items that I needed were walking distance(up to 3 mile walking), but transportion is accessible, if preferable. Floor 0(Ground Floor) has a nice sitting area and there is food to order if needed. Breakfast if located on Floor -1(Basement) and options from whole grains(breads/roll), protein(meats), cereal, coffee, tea, juices are offered. I utilized the breakfast and a combination of my own food during my stay to meet my nutritional needs. I was able to utilize the laundry before leaving. Laundry detergent was provided by the front desk and an app is needed to start the wash and dryer. The staff were friendly and answered any questions that I had. The occupants of the room were all delightful. The neighborhood around the area felt safe, even at night."

"The room is very clean, with excellent sunlight in the day. I wished there was extra light for the evening but it was a wonderful stay regardless. The restaurant bacio next door is wonderful. The hosts at the hotel were all very welcoming. "

"The pillows on the bed were way too thin and almost completely flat offering no head and neck support at all. This needs addressing, especially for somebody with a neck problem like myself. Staff would only give two extra towels to place underneath the pillows for added support. No more than two. The issue should not be with the towels but should be with the quality and standard of the pillows."
