Excellent hotel, large comfortable rooms, well equipped. Quiet location on the beach. Staff so friendly and helpful, making one feel at home. Away from the busy tourist areas.

Very disappointing experience!!!

We arrived to the location around 21.00 hrs, and they knew we were coming. Although, the resort was empty, no other turists, nobody at the desk, lights closed. We called and the person didn't speak English but she finally understood... After 10 minutes of waiting in the car (night and a lot of mosquitoes), the local woman arrived, she called her manager I suppose, and after 5 more minutes she showed our bungalow room. At the first look it was like in the pictures, but: in the bathroom there was a big hole in the ceiling, and a broken open window; in the room there was a lot of dust, an empty fridge, no bathrobes, no slippers, no locker. No other room was available at that time!!! After the local woman left, we also found other negative things: electric water heater was not working, so no hot water in the shower. While I was trying to fix it, I observed that big bugs were coming from the open hole in the ceiling. I killed 4 of them and left them on the floor for showing them to the manager in the morning, but I suppose they had a 'no man behind' policy, because in the morning the 'bodies' disappeared :-( I still have them in the pictures I've made, otherwise I would thought it was a bad dream... In the morning, as the only turists, we faced the BREAKFAST: one egg and 2 sausages, 2 slices of tomato, juice and an instant coffee. NOTHING ELSE! It was more than enough - we decided to run away as fast as we could, feeling that we were robbed (it was 98 USD per night!!!)

Ruhiges, schönes Resort mit kleinen Abstrichen

Das Thalane Resort ist ein kleines Bungalow-Resort. Die Zimmer sind sehr sauber und wie auf den Bilder abgebildet. Die Anlage und der Pool sind in einem guten und gepflegten Zustand. Der Strand an sich ist sehr schön, jedoch kann man sich dort kaum hinlegen, da überall Krebslöcher im Sand sind. Thalane ist ein kleiner abgelegener Ort, jedoch kann man sich am Pier (wo sich auch ein Restaurant befindet) einen Roller ausleihen und so die wirklich schöne Umgebung erkunden. Nach Krabi-Stadt fährt man ca. 40 min. mit dem Roller. Auch fährt ein Bus mehrmals täglich für wenig Geld nach Krabi. Der einzige Nachteil an dem Hotel ist, dass das Personal kein Wort englisch spricht, was eine Kommuniaktion wirklich sehr schwer macht. Auch ist das Essen im Hotel für thailändische Verhältnisse recht teuer, es befinden sich in näherer Umgebung Einkaufsmöglichkeiten.

Strand mit super Ausblick!

Die Bungalow-Anlage ist weit ab vom Schuss. Aus meiner Sicht nur mit dem eigenen Auto sinnvoll. Der Ort ist zum Relaxen ideal: Sehr ruhig, schöner Strand mit super Ausblick auf die vorgelagerten Inseln und praktisch keine Leute. Die Anlage ist einfach gehalten und besteht aus ca. 10 Häuschen, einem Open-Air-Restaurant und einem Swimming-Pool. Die Häuschen haben Baujahr 2008 und sind gut unterhalten. Die Stühle und Liegestühle beim Pool sind teilweise defekt und nicht mehr hübsch anzuschauen (grau/fleckig). Die Betten in den Bungalows sind sehr hart, so wie wir das bereits mehrmals in Thai-Hotels erleben durften. Zum Strand hat es viele Bäume, Palmen etc. die Schatten spenden. Super sind die drei Hängematten mit Blick auf das Meer. Sehr entspannend. Da wir die einzigen Gäste waren, wurde das Morgenessen "à la Carte" serviert. Es gibt ein einfaches Standard-Westler-Morgenessen: Kaffee/Tee, Spiegelei, Toast, Butter Konfitüre, O-Saft plus ev. Früchteplatte. Nicht der Hit aber ok. Wir haben drei Mal zu Abend gegessen. Es gibt eine relativ umfangreiche Speisekarte. Das Essen war immer gut und auch bestens gewürzt. Das Hotel wird von Tour-Anbieter von Krabi/Ao Nang genutzt für Mittagessen (Kanu-Tour) und Abendessen (Sunset-Diner mit Tischen am Strand). Es ist nicht möglich die Nebenkosten mit Kreditkarte zu bezahlen. Cash ist angesagt. Durch die moderaten Preise halten sich aber die Kosten in Grenzen.
