"We enjoyed the ryokan very much for the authenticity of old Japan. The dinner and breakfast were outstanding. Wearing the yutaka at the property was such a thrill for us. The staff were so friendly, kind and attentive. Thank you for your hospitality. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Such a contrast from the hustle and bustle of Tokyo and Osaka central. "This hotel was easily one of the best hotels we stayed in Japan. The hotel rooms have a proper ryokan feel and the hotel staff are the nicest people I have came across in Japan. We didn’t even ask them for a shuttle pick up from our bus stop but a car with a driver was already there They provide free shuttle to and fro Sukurai station which I wish I knew from before. Oh and the views from the rooms are just exquisite. I would recommend this hotel to anyone in a heartbeat. My only regret is that...

"The Rooms here are very small. I found the hallway sometimes smelled of smoke. But it’s a non-smoking hotel. It’s next to the subway station. They offer free coffee, free tea and soda in the lobby. A continental breakfast of hard boiled eggs and pastries is offered. The soda machine was a bit dirty. Lawsons convenient store is next door. There are lots of restaurants and Bars near by. There is even a Burger King across the street. I went to the dinosaur museum on the next subway stop...

"Breakfast buffet was good, getting there early is a long wait. Near Dotonburi was great. Namba walk (underground outlet store in subway) was great to find food. Restaurant's are tourists spots so it can get pricey but overall its a great hotel spot with like 2-3 min walk to train station and 6-7 mins to an elevator to help with luggage and strollers."

"Our stay at the hotel was excellent. The hotel is located in a very quiet area. The cleanliness and service/staff are excellent. The hotel has a shuttle service that takes you to the train station. Unfortunately, it only runs until the afternoon. The connection to Kyoto is okay. The natural surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, and you can be in the forest in a few minutes. This hotel is perfect for people who want to get away from the big cities."

The room is slightly bigger than what is typical in Japanese urban centers -- economical but comfortable."
