Perfect location and a 5 minute walk to the beach, hotel staff was fantastic and would recommend this hotel to family, friends and anyone spending time on Koh Lanta.

Great place

I get it, it’s Thailand, but this was hotel 5 on our trip and the worst, little bugs all over the floor, stained towels, and bedding, a/c installed wrong direction so it was hot in the room, 0 shower pressure, imagine a veggie mist at the super market. We thought we were far enough away from the temple speakers but nope, got worked up every time by the wailing of the speakers. Workers were never around. Hotel next door was nice tho, rented us scooters and we headed out every day. No hand soap, just shampoo.

What a lovely hotel, Soranda and family are amazing hosts. Soranda was very helpful in booking tours and transport off the islands. She even cane out to send us off. The balcony rooms are facing a busy street, we stayed an extra night and had a room at the back of the hotel much quieter. One block away there is an amazing restaurant called The Kitchen, best Thia food as of yet. Family run restaurant, mother is elderly and main cook in the kitchen, Her two sons and Dil are the servers. We would definitely stay again

We liked the attention to detail and the effort the staff made to help with all our needs, including tour bookings and transportation. The hotel is in a central location, the beach is just a few steps away. Breakfast, especially coffee is delicious.

This property was great. Staff was friendly and helped us book our ferry and transportation for the next morning. Room was very clean. Hotel is in a great location, only a few minutes to the beach.

Wonderful stay
We went for snorkeling trips around Lanta. The room was sparklingly clean every day we got back. Towel and accessories were changed daily. Even our clothing were carefully put away. The guitar, piano and the cat "Elsa" were all lovely. The hosts were very kind to offer us helpful tips on local food and entertainment.

A absolute gem of a hotel
What a wonderful surprise Lanta@Home was! Immaculately clean, lovely people, beautifully appointed room and fantastic coffee downstairs! This is undoubtedly the best value for money i’ve experienced on Lanta. I also love the fact that you are issued with a camping type of reusable water bottle which you can refill in the lobby - a small step in the right direction in the battle against plastic waste.

We had a wonderful stay! Everyone was so friendly! My son Blake was treated with cookies and a t shirt! He loves it there too. The room was nice and clean and great air con. 7/11 down the street and great Thai food next door. Will return again!! Thank you guys for making our stay so amazing!

Great location close to Long Beach. Nice little rooms with friendly staff is all you need if you want to safe and clean place to stay. Less than a 3 minute walk onto the beach with plenty of beachfront restaurants/lounges to choose from. I would stay here again!

One of best kept hotels in Thailand for sure
Spent two out of our 4 nights in Koh Lanta in this hotel. My better half couldn't live with the noise coming from the main road, which wouldn't be an issue for budget travel or if you have a tight sleep. All in all - this place seems fresh, stands for sustainability and has great everything except for being on the main road. Helpfull with bookings of trips etc. To have windows away from street is a luxury - i figured it's only 3 rooms in whole hotel that has it, be aware of ones without windows. Similar situation is for many hotels around main road - they might seem resort-like, but unless you take a luxury bungalow on the beach for tripple the price, you will have windows towards the main road. In that case - why not pick this, where everything else is just great. Lady at reception is amazing, you get metal bottles with unlimited drinking water supply, rooms are clean, beds firm, showers quiet and great so as airCon. And the breakfast... one of the best in Thai. you get to pick each item of your breakfast (egg, bacon, type of bread, everything you like) plus a really good coffee. Big thumbs up!!!!

Such an amazing experience! This property is just steps to the beach and is staffed by some great people. Upon check-in I was easily able to rent a moped from the front desk for two days. Which I used to explore the whole island. Every time I came in or out of the property I was kindly greeted, which made it feel like home. My favorite story from whole trip was tied into my stay @ Lanta. On my final day I had scheduled a bus ride to the Krabi airport with the hotel owner. It was getting past the time the bus was scheduled to arrive and she was getting worried. She ended up having one of her friends drive me all the way to the airport for no additional charge. The airport is about 2 hours away in the private vehicle. It turns out I had left my GoPro in the back seat of the car. The friend that drove me must have discovered this after dropping me off & they managed to somehow get the camera to me at my gate at the airport. Unbelievable service all around. I couldn't recommend more.

The cutest eco friendly place!
Absolutely loved my stay here. The owner and the staff are all soooo friendly and welcoming. When they say Lanta at Home they mean it. Any advice or help woth trips or transfer or anything was not too much to ask. Not only that they are really focused on being eco friendly by giving you a reusable water bottle and shopping/beach bag for you stay (you can take these away with you at a small cost...I still have my water bottle I love it!) Also in return for not having a room cleaning service every day they offer you a voucher for a free tea or coffee (proper coffee) at the cafe downstairs (1day no cleaning=1 voucher). Honestly who needs their room cleaned and fresh towels every day, you probably wouldn't at home (I mean let's be clear you can if you want to). I would 100% recommend this place!

Homely it is
I could NOT fault this small family run hotel, I had a problem, my glasses broke and I asked the staff to help me, and to my surprise they had them fixed free of charge, the room was very well appointed, comfortable bed, English speaking television, spotlessly clean and very well maintained, the room had a nice balcony, the staff were very friendly to me, they organised my ongoing travel, there is a piano in reception and many guests were playing, which was nice, they had lots of little homely touches, that you don’t usually see in hotels, it was far enough away from the pier and the built up areas noise, but only a short trip to the pier in a car, overall it was a really nice experience, the wifi was good too, I’ll be back

Amazing people who make your welcome very friendly. Good rooms and spacious. I had an inside room which was very quiet and peaceful and would recommend these opposed to the balcony rooms as they overlook the road.

superb hotel and people
Good area, 7/11 across the road. lots of bars and restaurants around whether on the road or on the beachfront. hotel is 2 minute walk to the beach. check in was very quick. upon check in you are given a water canister to use for the duration of your stay to fill up as you wish to cut down the plastic bottles. if you do not get your room cleaned they leave you a little bag on your door with toilet roll, tea/coffee sachets and a voucher for a free coffee at next doors bistro. our room was very comfortable, we opted for a windowless room for the cost. fridge and kettle in the room. The people are the best part of this hotel. really friendly and helpful. booked us our onward travel to Krabi town. We stayed over Christmas and under the tree they had a present for us with our room number on it...which was amazing. As we checked out we even got a hug and best wishes on our travels.

By reading the reviews I expected a very warm behaviour from the owner. She is polite, nothing more. We had to actually pay to use a beach towel and external phone calls are also not free as usual (for example to call a taxi or a restaurant). Weird! Still, we spent here 1 night only (2 adults and 1 child) and the overall experience was ok. The room was nice and clean and the rental cheap compared to any resort. The area is also nice, the beach is just behind the corner and night markets 20 min walking distance that is nice. The only negative thing is that our room faced the street and the sounds from cars and motorbike at night can be challenging for people with a light sleep.

Anyone came here all is our family we take care the same not for only one and the day you came in the evening not more time to spend much with us, i'm Chada not owner i is reception but evenyone come here is my family and for sure i recommend everything what i can or help. For towel i well explian we have towel for your room and we had change evey day if you open for clean but if you need take to the beach we have mat for free but if you want towel i had to told you why we should have 20 Baht for rent, we must clean for sand because hard for clean to. if you not want to pay i will understand and what i explain to you think you understand for we reason . For phone if you book tickets from we hotel for sure is free only you book from outside need us to help call and we have announcement in your room . We so sorry if we not make you warm here and all your complain we will improve if we can and must thank you for came to lanta@home always we can say welcome to your home . You will absolutely feel like family and right at home at this wonderful hotel! The service is spectacular and all of the details - big and small - are extremely thoughtful. The owners should be in charge of hospitality everywhere and the world would be a better place! The staff went out of their way to help my husband and I with rides, arrangements, suggestions, etc. Extra brownie points for their sustainability focus - they give each guest a water bottle that you can fill up at their water cooler instead of wasting $ and plastic on water bottles. We stayed in a balcony room - the room was large, the ac and blackout drapes worked well, internet always functioned. The bed was a little hard, but not uncomfortable and we had a great night of rest. Location is on the main road, but the road noise was not disruptive. Had a good shower and tathroom could use a vent (like most bathrooms in Thailand), but also no real problems there. Loved everything about this place - you can't ask for more than what they provide <3

Nice location for food price
We stayed in a room without window. The room was nice. The hotel is near Saladan town and right on the main strip so it was easy to find places to eat nearby. There was a 7-11 across the street and the access to the beach was a block away. Along the beach there are also lots of options for food. There is a bistro connected to the hotel that is open in the mornings and early afternoons.

Exceptionally well run the Stabley Schmidt. It is spotlessly clean, comfy beds and pillows. Cute decorations throughout the hotel. Very homey feel. Nice touch with the welcome drink when you arrived. Attached is a café with a good selection of tasty breakfast food and excellent coffee. Two minute walk to the beach and some nice restaurants. Thank you Chanda for all your help and advice with tours and the recommendation for one of the best massages we’ve had. Anchan Massage. Also when not feeling well those charcoal tablets helped. You are the Best!

Friendly, comfortable hotel
Such a great little hotel! Although I didn't know when I booked it, they are very environmentally friendly, and really encourage a plastic-free visit. They provided reusable water bottles and free water during the stay, and incentivize with free coffee if you use your towels for more than 1 day. It seems like a family-run hotel, and everyone working there (and the cafe attached) is very friendly and accommodating. The room itself was comfortable. It's not a super-fancy place, but it's very clean and the bed gave a good night's sleep. The wi-fi was strong, and the hot water in the shower was good. Walking to the beach takes just 2 minutes, and there are a ton of dining options along the beach. Breakfast at the cafe attached to the hotel was tasty and convenient. Zero complaints, and I would stay here again!

Lovely stay at our new home in lanta
Lovely 5 nights at Lanta@home. The first words said to us on arrival were "welcome to your home" and the staff really made it feel that way. We had a balcony room, the balconies are all on the main road but it's not that busy and no noise with the doors closed. Room is clean and has everything you need. Location is fine, a couple of minutes walk to Klong dao beach with lots of nice restaurants and bars to watch the sunset. Really cheap and easy motorbike rental onsite too, definitely a good idea on lanta. The roads are big and pretty quiet and there's lots of nice different beaches and other areas to explore.
