Dove Cottage has been given the love and attention it deserves with a full renovation in 2022 and made it a fantastic holiday retreat for couples with no expense spared, meaning visitors are ensured of perfection throughout.

    You enter the property into the open plan living/kitchen area on the ground floor. The kitchen is well equipped and well-presented and has all the necessities should you not wish to dine out at the many restaurants and pubs close by. The living area has a comfortable sofa which is great to snuggle up on in front of the Smart TV. Up one flight of stairs, which due to the nature of property, are quite steep, you have a good-sized bedroom with plenty of storage space and a plush kingsize bed with good quality linen guaranteeing a perfect night’s sleep after exploring this stunning area. On the same floor is the stylish en-suite bathroom with contemporary white sanitary ware and large walk-in shower.

    The location of Dove Cottage is perfect; Knaresborough has its own fantastic market on a Wednesday and is also famous for Mother Shipton’s Cave and Petrifying Well and boasts an interesting castle, painted by JMW Turner, perched high on the cliff top. Stroll along the riverside promenade, relax with an ice cream or hire a boat and spend an afternoon ’messing about on the river’. If you did want to go further afield there is the stylish spa town of Harrogate just a short 20-minute drive, Harrogate is bursting with fantastic restaurants, pubs, and not to forget the world-famous Betty’s Tearoom which is a must for afternoon tea.

    Knaresborough is on the doorstep of the Yorkshire Dales meaning there are plenty of opportunities to explore the stunning countryside, whether it being on foot or by bike, you will always have plenty to see and investigate.

Overall excellent stay and very nice conversion. All mod cons and quality. Well thought out layout and easy parking opposite. We liked the place a lot. Only very minor observation would benefit from having a fan as was very hot and hard to cool though these are rare days ...Overall a five star stay though!

From the moment I walked in, I was struck by how clean and well-maintained the cottage was. Every corner was spotless, and it truly felt like a home away from home.The atmosphere was incredibly cozy, with charming touches that made the space feel both inviting and relaxing. It was the perfect place to unwind and enjoy some quiet time.The cottage was also stocked with everything I could have possibly needed during my stay — from kitchen essentials to cozy blankets, nothing was overlooked. It made the experience so much more enjoyable and stress-free.I highly recommend Dove Cottage to anyone looking for a peaceful and comfortable getaway. I will definitely be back!
