"Stayed over New Year and decided to stay and extra night as we felt so comfortable as staff and food were good. Room was a little small for a 'premium ' but adequate. The bar/ lounge is great, lovely fires and a lot of residents brought their dog, the staff engaged with all👍👍. Look forward to seeing how they upgrade the hotel after the January shutdown. A perfect cottage to relax in and unwind.

"The cottage was very clean, finished and furnished to a high standard. It is very comfortable and well equipped, the shower in particular is impressive. The owner was very welcoming and left us some bread and milk etc. A couple of evenings were a little chilly so the wood burner and supply of logs was much appreciated. However, the cottage is very isolated and whilst this didn't bother us some might find it too remote. It is a good drive to anywhere of significance and some of the roads can be a little tricky. It is perfect for those wanting to be away from everything, or prepared to drive to get shopping etc."
