Torcross is a beautiful little coastal village in the South Hams, best known for its unique position between Slapton Ley and the three-mile-long shingle beach overlooking Start Bay.
Arranged over three floors, this holiday home has ample space for four guests. There are two lovely bedrooms, two bathrooms (one of which is an en suite), a nicely kitted-out kitchen, and a spacious top floor living room with a dining area. Next to the front door there's a small, raised terrace where guests can enjoy a morning coffee, and a lower terrace with outdoor furniture, if you fancy relaxing in the sunshine before going out to explore.
The well-known Start Bay Inn is a two-minute amble along the seafront, so if you fancy good wholesome food within a traditional coastal pub setting, this is the place. Nearby, Stokely Farm Shop serves fantastic breakfasts as well as wood-fired pizzas, home-made pies, seafood dishes and Sunday roast. Their Deli is also a great way to stock up on a few locally produced treats to pop into the fridge at your apartment.
17 At The Beach is paws-friendly, which is terrific news for holidaymakers and their pets. Slapton Sands allows dogs all year round, while Slapton Ley makes for a scenic excursion with pups in tow. Of course, there's also plenty of coast path to explore too, as well as the nearby towns of Dartmouth and Kingsbridge.

Fantastic value and location, fully equipped comfortable property
We stayed at no17 at the end of November (during some really severe storms). The property was easy to locate and ready for our arrival with keys on a lockbox.
The property is really well located literally 2 mins from Torcross Beach, and the local pub. The car park is not attached and our property was up a few steps.
The property is well presented and fully equipped with everything you could need. A nice welcome basket , tea coffee etc and lots of leaflets etc also provided.
This is one of the most comfortable beds and duvet I have ever slept in.
2 bathrooms, one with jacuzzi bath, other with large shower.
The property was warm and quiet even through the very bad storms
We had a brief power cut which affected the boiler . I called the number provided and had immediate response, and the issue was resolved immediately.
We will definitely be back

Great stay
Superb holiday let; right on the beach as the pictures show and with absolutely everything you’d need for a great break.
Simple check in process, easy instructions for parking, responsive hosts.
The Start Bay Inn and Jerry Can cafe were all great. The Queens Arms in Slapton is a good walk away and serves great food.
Would highly recommend.
