About this property
Beautiful Sunsets at the Lake Camp
We have given the camp a new lease on life with a rustic modern charm. It was completely renovated in 2016. It is the perfect place for a romantic getaway or a family vacation. This house has plenty of lake frontage, a dock and a hoist. There is a patio for dining and a campfire pit. There is a bunkhouse that has 2 twin cots. This home provides kitchen, dining and living room, bathroom, one queen bed, one full bed, 2 twin cots (bunk quarters), covered porch picnic area, washer and dryer. There is a yard for tents (you must bring). The camp is located 3.5 miles down a 12-foot wide private road with little traffic. The camp is near the end of a dead end lake road. The road is very family friendly and is a great place to walk, jog, or ride bicycles. There is plenty of parking! Enjoy the sunsets and evenings around a campfire. At the camp there is a row boat and a paddle boat for use! A pet friendly camp. Long Point State Park is 5 miles north of the property. Bright-Leaf winery is 1.5 mile walk or 6.5 mile drive. The town of Aurora is a quaint place a mile beyond Long Point. The town features Mackenzie Childs, the Fargo Bar and Grill, Well's College, and the Aurora Inn. The closest cities are Ithaca and Auburn, NY (approximately 45 minutes away). The Finger Lakes area is known for their winery and cheese trails, plan a day trip to stop at a few! The DeLago Casino is 40 minutes away.
Boat hoist available from memorial to Labor Day. Check with owners about size of boat restrictions. No pontoons. If you bring your boat Owner has off site parking if you need it. We do not recommend driving your boat and trailer down the road (12-foot right-of-way).

Fishing trip was excellent, host was even better. She was extremely accommodating and very easy to deal with. She went above and beyond expectations. Would recommend and stay again!
Property was a bit rustic, but an inexpensive option for direct access to Lake Cayuga. Faucet water carried a pungent odor when we first arrived due to high mineral content, but dissipated after use. Septic system was functional. Great internet access given location. Was able to reach Ithaca in about an hour, the Syracuse State Fairgrounds in about an hour and a half. Convenient access to three wineries in a half hour’s drive and a brewpub. Quiet space in a neighborhood of friendly people.
We had a good time, owner allowed dogs. very easy check in an checkout. owner lives nearby an willing to help. awesome view, place is right next to the lake. we would stay again. thanks
The house was clean ,but maybe they could clean the porch off because that's where the guys spent most of their time when they weren't fishing, carpet bad on porch. Overall they had a great stay caught lots of fish and booked it for next year.
Everything about this trip was seamless, easy & relaxing. The camp was perfect fit for my husband and I. The lakeview is breathtaking, easy to lose time sitting outside drinking coffee and reading a book.
The property owner is quick with communication, and friendly to work with.
We brought all our groceries and made use of the grill and kitchen, which has everything you can need to make a meal. I recommend doing the same if you plan to just relax.
We would definitely stay again. Thank you for everything!
This Honoco Rd lake camp was ideal. The beds and pillows Sooo comfy , the kitchen bath and living area were just right ! Absolutely Stunning sunset views , the outside space is wonderful with picnic table for dining and covered patio for gathering , below the lovely hostas and flowers is another concrete area for sunbathing and steps to the water off of the long dock. It is peaceful , private and just perfect , I did not want to leave . Christina was always attentive and responded within minutes to answer any questions . I give it 10 stars !! J.Maggos

Not worth price paid, & some things should of been up front, before it was to late to cancel
I have absolutely no complaints about the property. It was immaculately clean, warm and very welcoming. You cannot beat the location right on the lake. The added features of the Paddle Boat and Kayaks is enticing.
I only have 1 negative thing to say. The property is down on a private road, which it seems like this is the only property on the private road. NO, there are hundreds of other houses on this dirt road and you pass before you get to it. I wish I had known about this before I signed up for staying.
Christina is a GREAT host none the less!!!
Nice getaway. Disappointed we didn’t know it wasn’t recommended to leave in the water after Labor Day and we went end of September. Whole purpose of trip was to go out on boat. 25 minute drive out the road was inconvenient to put boat in and out even though hostess had a place to keep boat. But we had a great time and enjoyed the beautiful view and covered patio and fire pit.
It was a wonderful retreat with beautiful views all day (sunsets were amazing!). We stayed at the property for the entire weekend due to the 3.5 miles of 10 mph dirt road and really enjoyed the water and views from the patio. It is a nice walking area as well - a good distance and some great fossils at the bottom of the cliffs.
We had a wonderful time on the lake. You couldn’t get closer without being in it! Views were wonderful. Evenings sitting outside enjoying the sunsets we’re so relaxing. The bed was comfortable and the kitchen was well equipped. We certainly had everything we needed to make our stay very relaxing. Wifi worked well when needed and tv reception was great except for the last night when a major storm took out the internet. We went to sleep listening to the rain - hard to beat!
Really gorgeous little home that is well furnished, comfortable, and the waterfront location can’t be beat! It was the perfect spot for a quarantine getaway. That 10mph is no joke though, so we didn’t do a lot of driving in the area, but we had everything we needed at home. Really kind and thoughtful host too! Would stay again!
This is a lovely spot for a summer get away! Right on the water, wonderful for swimming and lulling. Excellent wines nearby, the actual place is cozy and nicely renovated. Don’t even think twice about staying here , just do it!!
My family and I had the most amazing experience spending our summer vacation at Christina and Steve's camp! I wouldn't even call it a camp, I would call it a home. All of the rooms have been renovated and the floors are beautiful. Communication with Christina and Steve was easy and I believe we actually made some life long friends. They treated us like family and we are beyond thankful for their hospitality. When you arrive you have to drive down a long stretch of road, almost as if you are detaching from the hustle and bustle of the real world. The speed limit is 10 miles per hour, but that's the point, at the lake life slows down. There was a lovely TV with internet so you could stream movies, I do admit I did have to do some work, but the internet was great! Not that you need a TV because the property and dock/beach is all you need, but the TV is good if it rains (you can snuggle up and watch a good movie). This is a place where you can truly be with your family and just enjoy everyone's conversations. Our two year old spent most of his time swimming and playing with his beach toys on the property. My parents came to visit and raved about the place, "it has everything you need," my mom said. The house actually does have everything, all your dishware, pots and pans to cooks, wine glasses and a big freezer for all your meat! There are big beds and cute pocket doors for some privacy. There is a row boat and paddle boat for your boating pleasure and the water is just beautiful. Life jackets are provided and there is enough outside seating for the entire family. The campfire area is big and you can literally sit by the fire all night. My husband's father and brother came to visit and I almost thought that they would never leave... they loved it as mush as we did. Just a short drive from the village of Aurora and Long Point State Park. We jogged everyday all over the area and after a long hard run, nothing is more refreshing then a glass of wine form Long Point Winery just up the road from the house. All I can say is that the camp fires, family time, beach, parking, the property and the owners were more than what we thought they would be... in the end the sunset says it all. Breathtaking!!! We are blessed and thankful.
