Rocky Mountain Getaway is a full-furnished vacation rental cabin nestled between the Rocky Mountains and the Purcell Mountain Valley in Kimberley, BC. Our beautiful cabin is located in the St. Mary’s River Valley, a few minutes south of Kimberley and near the quaint town of Marysville. Mountain vistas, hiking and nature trails, the Kimberley Alpine Resort and three championship golf courses await. In the summer months, Kimberley boasts festivals, markets, mountain biking, fishing and more; something for everyone!

CABIN AMENITIES

Rocky Mountain Getaway offers three levels (1,722 sq. feet) of living space and sleeps up to 8. We can accommodate small to large groups.

The ground floor contains a suite with a queen bed and full bathroom, a recreation room with a pull-out bed and a covered area.

The main level consists of the master bedroom with a queen bed. There is a full bathroom, an open concept kitchen, living & dining room. The cozy fireplace and environmentally friendly geothermal heating/cooling system make the cabin very comfortable, winter and summer.

The upper loft hosts two double-sized beds and a ½ bath.

ACCESSIBILITY

The Canadian Rockies International Airport located just outside of Kimberley offers daily flights to and from Vancouver and Calgary. If you choose to take the scenic drive to Kimberley, it averages only four and a half hours from Calgary.

Excellent proximity to hiking in a beatiful little cabin community. It was our first trip to Kimberley and a perfect place to stay. The kitchen was well appointed and everyone loved the cabin.

Enjoyed our stay in this beautiful log cabin. Extremely well maintained. Easy access to all the golf courses in the area. Just a few minutes from Kimberly where there are lots of restaurants to choose from. Would definitely recommend this place

Very nice!

Six of us stayed two nights and biked the Northstar Trail from Cranbrook to Kimberley. Location was perfect for our visit. The Getaway was well stocked, clean, and beds comfortable. We will be back for another BC adventure!

Magnificent cabin

We would recommend this cabin to any body at any time. It was super clean and very well equipped. A true Kootenay experience with plenty of wildlife around it and top rated golf courses.

The Ultimate Relaxation Vacation

We just got home from the most relaxing holiday we have taken in years. The accomodation was perfect for our family. It was clean, cozy, and comfortable. And the location was great. Sooo quiet and private. And only a short drive to the ski hill and amenities in Kimberley. Highly recommend this amazing property.

Our 7 night stay in this beautiful cabin was wonderful. Everything was exceptional, fully stocked, and immaculately maintained. Wonderful Family Cabin

We had another wonderful week at this spacious, well appointed cabin. Our family loved sitting out on the 2nd level deck every evening and there was lots of room for kids to play. We had an issue upon check in that the owners dealt with quickly and to everyone’s satisfaction. Great communication was certainly appreciated. We will definitely be booking this property again.

Great place in a great location.

Rocky Mountain Getaway was an excellent location for our golf getaway. Beautiful well appointed cabin, with ample space. So well stocked! We didn’t want for anything. Super clean. Joanna’s response time and communication on questions I had prior to arriving was 10+. We are so glad we found your gem in the woods. Highly recommend!

Spring break

4 adults and a baby stayed in this property. It was great having the downstairs for the young family while the grandparents could sleep on the main floor. Thankfully there was even a booster seat for the 1 year old as we forgot a high chair. So many things were available to us that made our stay feel like home. Would reserve this property again in a heart beat if needed to be in the area again

Just like your own home

Many rentals have excellent locations and floor plans, however, the details are lacking, such as, cheap cutlery, lack of pots and pans, no spices, worn out kitchen appliances, etc. This cabin has it all, you might think it is outfitted like your own home. The location is a little secluded but very peaceful and relaxing. The drive into Kimberley is about 10 minutes. We have already booked for part of the Xmas season.

Cozy, Clean, Comfortable

We went as a group of six friends to have a board game retreat in a beautiful setting. We had a wonderful time in the well-equipped cabin. It is a great setup and layout to accommodate people in lots of private spaces and a great common area. The arrival and instructions were seamless, the home was spotless. Wifi connection was great. The area is gorgeous, tons of wildlife including a family of deer sitting the shade beside the house! Between the board games we brought, nearby mini golf, lots of hiking trails and exploring the cute town of Kimberley gave us endless things to do inside and outside the house. The area was affected by a power outage at 5am one morning due to a tree falling on a power line (not at all the fault of the property). BC Hydro had it fixed before 10am. Did not negatively impact us but anyone traveling to an area like this should know this kind of thing is normal. Thank you Joanna and family for opening your home to us!

This cabin was fabulous, all of the amenities we could need were included and easy to find. We will plan to return to Kimberley and this property will definitely be on our list to rebook! It was so clean, comfortable and well stocked for our weekend away.
