"Drifting and Dreaming"

Golden Strand Condo's unit G2 is an oceanfront condominium located at milepost 7.6 in Kill Devil Hills, NC. This beachy 3 bedroom/2 bath condo features an extreme oceanfront view, full size kitchen, private balcony, and more! This is a non-smoking / no pets unit.

This beautiful 3 bedroom, 2 bath beach front Condo is a great family vacation home. The beach is right outside your door - you can't get any closer! The unit sleeps 6 (feel free to bring an air mattress to sleep more). The master bedroom has its own private bathrooms with a private view of the ocean.

The living room has a beautifully decorated living area, flat screen TV multiple end tables and coffee table. The wet bar includes a sink. The dining area has a seating for six. The open well-stocked kitchen, with electric stove, and dishwasher looks out toward the dining and living areas. Along the back wall of the unit is a sliding glass door which opens up to the great private balcony overlooking the ocean. Here you'll find more seating for relaxing, reading or watching the beautiful sunrise in the morning. Or in the evening you can sit in the screened in patio in the front of the unit and enjoy a sunset. Completing the unit is a full size washer and dryer on site.

Outside, you'll find two fabulous pools (one just of the kiddies). A playground for the kids, charcoal grill and picnic area, ample security parking, and an elevator. For your convenience, there is also an open outdoor shower.

Get away, relax and enjoy your mornings on the deck enjoying your morning coffee and watching the sun rise over the Atlantic Ocean. Spend the afternoon on the beach watching the dolphins and pelicans and swimming in the ocean. In the evenings enjoy a variety of shopping and dining opportunities or relax in the screened in patio.

The Condominium is in a prime location for area attractions, such as water activities, Outlet Mall shopping, Outer Banks history, aquarium and dozens of restaurants from casual to fine dining! We are a family of 5 and loved staying here for the week! The condo is clean, beautiful location on the beach, and the owner is so helpful. Check in was a breeze, and he always answered any questions I had before and throughout the week. Great location to restaurants and stores. We will definitely stay here again!

We are happy with our stay. The condo is at a great location where you can access everything, shops, restaurants, the grocery store (Publix) is within walking distance. We also loved the view from the deck. The kitchen is spacious which is great for families who want to cook their own meals.

A perfect vacation

The condo was the perfect place for us. We found the condo to be cozy and comfortable. It is located just minutes away from a variety of activities. We could sit on the deck and be "at the beach" without hauling our gear down to the sand. The owner was responsive to our questions and we would definitely stay here again.

Best condo on the beach

This condo is such a hidden gem! To start - the view is flawless and the chairs on the patio are great to spend the day lounging in. The unit itself is clean, very large and well stocked. The location is great and the pool was even bigger and nicer then the pictures. And the bed is super comfortable. If you are headed to the obx - this place is perfect.

Perfect vacation spot

The condo was very clean. We didn’t hear any of the neighbors. The beach was clean and practically vacant. The kids loved laying out and swimming. We utilized the grill for dinner. The deck was amazing for watching the waves in the morning and enjoying our coffee. We could easily watch the kids playing at the beach from the deck. The beds were very comfortable. The location was close to shopping and restaurants. Parking was easily accessible. The host was very quick to respond to questions.

Vacation Enjoyed!

Even though it rained several of the days, we still enjoyed the ocean from our balcony on the second floor and did some Kitty Hawk exploring. And there were so many close excellent recusants to chose from for dinning. The place was clean and well supplied with kitchen utensils etc... But didn't realize there was an elevator until the 2nd day but was so grateful for it being on the 2nd floor. Only improvement would be that someone would have been in the office, which was closed due to short staff. But all-in-all we would stay there again!

Family getaway

I stayed here with my husband and two young children, preschooler and baby, for a one week spring vacation. The location is perfect, we loved the view of the ocean from the deck and being just steps away from the beach. The condo is cozy and had everything we needed to feel at home away from home. The kitchen is well stocked for cooking meals. When we wanted to eat out, there were plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area. Our only complaint was that the check in process could have been smoother. We drove a long way to get to the condo and our key and parking pass were not available outside the management office upon arrival. Seems the property manager dropped the ball. However, I reached out to the owner via Vrbo, and he responded quickly and helped remedy the situation with calls to the manager on our behalf. Once we got inside about half a hour later and I saw the ocean view, I was able to get over the frustration pretty quickly. The rest of our stay was without any problems, so overall I would recommend this place and would stay here again.

Good location, could use some updating

We enjoyed the location on the beach & proximity to restaurants & sights. Unit was clean, but couch & other furnishings really need to be replaced. The style was from least a couple of decades ago, & the lack of comfort & cleanliness of the worn out couch were a big negative. It did seem like some decorating was done with cute wall decor but was mixed in with some old stuff, too. I was also hoping some beach gear would be available since we flew in from out of state & didn’t want to have to purchase things we couldn’t take home. There were a couple of well-used beach chairs, but even a few simple sand toys would be great to have on hand for families. We did purchase a boogie board for our daughter to use & had to leave it there, but hopefully someone else will get to use it. I’m not sure how common this is, but a place we rented one time before had a well-stocked storeroom of beach gear & it was so helpful. The check-in process was simple since the door was unlocked & keys were on the counter, but even that felt a little odd regarding security. Overall, if someone wanted to visit this particular area, I might recommend looking into some of the newer or more updated condos. For our budget & the time we spent there, it was ok.
