  • Enjoy the simple life at this cozy, coastal home complete with a grassy yard, furnished rear deck, and firepit. Centrally located, you'll find many business within walking distance, but don't let that stop you from exploring all the island has to offer from boutiques and specialty shops to breweries, restaurants, and museums as well as Lost Treasure Golf, the North Carolina Aquarium on Roanoke Island, and the Elizabethan Gardens.

    You will love the covered front porch as you sip your morning coffee and watch the world go by or relax in the sun room with a good book. Gather together in the living area to stream a favorite movie, and then, in the evenings, light up the firepit out back, share stories, and make s'mores. The well-equipped, full kitchen has everything you need to whip up your favorite meals and snacks, and you can even dine alfresco on the patio.

    Walk to the beach and play in the sand and warm waters every day. After days of fun in the sun, rinse off using the convenient outdoor shower and then head into town to explore the local eateries. There's never a dull moment at this delightful home!

The location was perfect, right in the middle of the area and close to the beach and lots of attractions. It was also close to relatives vacation rental - a top reason why it was chosen. Two negatives were - the washing machine didnt work ( which was discovered after clothes and detergent were entered) and one room was described as having bunk beds, which were not there. I did discover on our last night there was a pull out sofa bed - we traveled with 3 kids who i had promised their own bed, but that didnt happen for our entire stay as the last bed wasn't known about our entire stay. I was pretty pieced about the washing machine (luckily with relatives staying 10 min away we utilized the one in their vacation rental). I did call and a maintenance ticket started, but not completed before we left. A few days after I messaged them my disappointment, I did receive a 50 credit for my trouble. I was going to rate the stay 3 stars, but gave them 4 for this. The house was overall shelter - it appeared to be a quick flip interior with the "landlord special" white paint job. Nothing to write home about, but a clean place to sleep while staying in the area.
