Spring Break Trip - Family of 12
We stayed here for our spring break trip with a family of 12 (including 3 babies under the age of 18 months). We only rented the upstairs portion and it fit us perfectly with each bedroom having a bathroom attached. The yard was very large and perfect for the kids to play in, and the adults to lounge by the pool. The host was extremely accommodating and easy to get ahold of for things like a propane refill for the BBQ and attention to a leaky sink. The downfall of this property in my opinion is the location of the property. It is right on a busy road so you can hear the cars all day and night, and the beach is not as nice as it is when you get closer to Wailea. But again, that is personal preference. Overall it was a good stay.

Great Time in Kihei
We chose this house due to it's proximity to the ocean, the fact that it had 4 bedrooms with private bath and the lanai/pool area looked very inviting. We are very familiar with the Kihei area as well which was a plus. The house met every expectation that we had. I would highly recommend renting this house if you have 4 or 5 parties (there is a Ohana if needed for a 5th party) that would like to have privacy but also hang around together in the common area. Places like this are hard to find!

Beautiful property; lay out allowed for privacy and great room for large gatherings; excellent furniture; nice kitchen; beautiful landscaping. Close to beach as indicated but is not a swimming beach. Good for walks. Have to drive a short distance to swimming beaches. Pool temp was comfortable, but pool needs repair. Tiles missing; algae growing along tile edge. Major complaints about twin bed - room and adjoining bedroom. Room [twin] dirty and dusty; floor not swept. Used 2 garbage bags of paper towels to wipe furniture walls and floor. Very dusty. white bedspread had brown stain on it. It and linens had to be washed. Bathroom shower curtain had mold on bottom hem. bath drain stopped up. Other bathroom cold water tap did not work. Other bedroom [queen bed] fine layer of dust and dirt. Floor dirty and needed to be cleaned. Master bath /tile shower has black mold top left. Bathroom next to master bedroom, has fan so loud it sounds like a hot rod. Everything still worked out ok but lack of cleanliness and maintenance was a real downer for a family birthday. Al Pozos

We pride ourselves in providing our guests a clean environment and have had very few complaints over the past 10 years. We will make sure we address the various issues you mentioned. I do want to clarify for readers that the beach across the street is a good beach for swimming and most water activities. Perhaps the weather conditions were in play during your stay, but it has plenty of white sand, and usually calm conditions for easy water entry.

The property was perfect for our large family of all ages. We had a huge beautiful yard where the kids ran around and played with the football, people were in the pool, relaxing on the hammock, and playing card games on the patio. The patio furniture was perfect and we ate dinner outside every night. The kitchen had everything we could ever need. The landscaped yard is so beautiful and there was a beautiful view everywhere you looked. I can’t say enough about how perfect it was and the location right across the street from a beach.

Fabulous property
We totally enjoyed our stay. There were 16 of us and we all had plenty of room. We also rented the ohana and it was a perfect addition for our youngest daughter and her husband and family. We would definitely rent this place again. We all enjoyed sitting on the lanai and saw whales breaching a few times. It was so centrally located and very easy to get to. Just across the street was the beach and close to places to eat and shop. The kitchen allowed us to cook breakfast and dinner some evenings. The owner Rob and property manager Darell were both very easy to work with. Definitely would rent again. Thank you Rob and Darell. Mahalo

We recently enjoyed a stay at a Kihei property that was overall very positive, largely due to the outstanding property management. Pros: Location: The property's proximity to the beach is fantastic, offering easy access to beautiful seaside views and stunning sunsets. Size and Comfort: The property was spacious and comfortable, accommodating our group well. Outdoor Space: The well-maintained backyard and patio were perfect for relaxation. Safety: The gated property added to our sense of security, contributing to a peaceful vacation. Property Management: The responsiveness and helpfulness of the property manager were exceptional, quickly addressing any concerns we had. Areas for Improvement: Initial Cleanliness: The property wasn't dirty, but could benefit from a more thorough clean. Pest Issue: A few mice were spotted initially, but the manager promptly resolved this issue. Beach Amenities: The absence of chairs and functional umbrellas was a slight inconvenience. However, the manager assisted us in finding rentals, which seemed to be a misunderstanding about what was included. In conclusion, our stay was enhanced by the excellent management, making up for the minor issues encountered. This property is a great choice for anyone looking for a comfortable, scenic, secure stay near the beach in Kihei.

Our 2nd stay!
10 years ago, our family gathered for an 0 birthday here. We had such a wonderful experience, we came back again. It is hard to believe that it was even better. Rob, the excellent host, and Darrel, the amazing manager, made everything flow smoothly. The updates and remodeling were much appreciated. We again marvled at the sunset views, refreshing pool, beach across the street, and all the space both in and out for a large group. Thank you so much for sharing the special spot. Beautiful house and property with easy access to beach. Lovely yard with pool and beautiful view of ocean and sunsets. Owner and property care manager very responsive and helpful. Only negative is no air conditioning in main room including kitchen. Bedrooms all had A/C. Lovely having many bedrooms which worked great with 6 adults two young children and an infant. Kihei location nice as not right in busier Wailea but very close with proximity to many beaches and restaurants. Would choose again and recommend.

Excellent for large families and space
We were a party of 10 and had plenty of space to be comfortable the entire 9 days. Property manager had excellent communication both prior to arriving and meeting us at the house. The beautiful yard and lot size allowed for ball games, and space for the littles to run around freely. The pool was a wonderful spot to hang out and enjoy when we weren’t at the beaches in Kihei. Property manager and other staff were pleasant and helpful 100% of the time as needed. Plenty of bath and beach towels, amenities, every utensil and household dishes you need to cook and BBQ. The helpful binder of places to go and do was very nice in helping decide our itinerary each day. All in all a wonderful stay in Kihei. Highly recommend this property.

Kihei House in Maui 2023
Our family arrived in Maui about two weeks after the wildfires started. We planned for an anniversary and two birthdays during our trip. We were very uncertain at first to go or cancel but Robert and Darrell were very proactive in keeping us abreast of the continually changing situation regarding the wildfires and our Kihei location. This quickly put our concerns at rest and the stay was wonderful. The house was extremely accomodating and had pretty much everything one may want to enjoy their experience. My only small concern were the recepticals in the master bedroom due to the plugs not holding the devices being plugged into the wall outlets which is an easy fix. The house is simply wonderful and we plan to come back. Everyone enjoyed the pool which was very inviting and refreshing when we were not on the beach across the street from the house.The ocean view from the house and all the sunsets were spectacular. I can not say enough about everyone we met while in Maui. The locals were very friendly and helpful dispite all the tragedy that had occured from the wildfires. I can not emphisise enough that tourism drives their economy. We heard it over and over to put the word out to come visit Maui. Thanks again Robert and Darrell for all you did to help us enjoy some wonderful memories. We truly did enjoy our stay and it surpassed our expectations.

There were 17 of us (includidn an infant and 6 kids) stayed at Rob's place on Maui. It was absolutely perfect for a large group like ours. Plenty of room to gather as a group in the central living area and lanai. Having a private pool was a big hit with the kids. Location is great for accessing the sites of Maui.

This was a very pretty property that had a lot of space to accommodate our large group well. It definitely has the old Hawaii feel to it. If you are looking for a more luxury resort type experience I’d recommend Wailea or Ka’anapali areas on the island. Some minor issues to mention, the home had A/C but not in the living areas/kitchen and downstairs level living space which was a bit uncomfortable for those that slept down in that space. The beach across from the home was also unfortunately barely usable, the water came up high which left little space, and the beach bathroom right across was badly soiled. We walked across only a few times and planned beach days at other places. The view from the home though was beautiful. The lower level is also detached from the home and the family staying down there would have liked the kitchen to have been set up with some basic items in addition to the upstairs kitchen. We really appreciate the owner and property manager working with us to put up the pool gate due to having young children with us and communication was always very easy. We appreciate all the help with various other things from Darrel. Very good communication overall. Overall we enjoyed our stay and the home was a convenient location if you plan excursions around the island. Thank you!

Beautiful home for our large family
This home is centrally located and is close to shops and restaurants and is easily accessible to all areas of the island. Rob, the owner, was very easy to communicate with and was able to answer all our questions. Darrel, the local manager, was on hand to help as needs arose. They take excellent care of the property, inside & out, keeping the landscaping manicured and pool very clean. The pool is perfect, but please note that there is not a fence around it if you have small children. We loved the access to the lanai and enjoyed meals around the big table. Our family consisted of 16, so we also rented the basement level, which was perfect. Each of the bedrooms have an attached bathroom and all had their own ac. This home provided a very special vacation for us to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary with our whole family.

We really did enjoy our stay at the home-- it was large and plenty of room for all of us to enjoy. The outdoor patio area and pool were perfect. The property manager was very helpful. The only issues we had were with some rodents at the property inside and out. As well, the location is in a very high traffic area-- you hear a lot of traffic from the main road. There is also a public bus stop right in front of the property. Just a few things to keep in mind.

Great house and lovely Kihei location. Within walking distance of bakery for morning coffee and malasadas and shave ice in the afternoon. Having the pool was perfect for cooling off and kept the kids entertained all day when they weren’t at the beach across the street. Beautiful lanai for hanging out and grilling, and gorgeous side yard perfect for morning yoga. Kitchen was stocked really well with utensils, pans, etc. Property owner and manager were super easy to communicate with. Will definitely look at staying here again next Maui vacation!

Beautiful reunion
This was our second stay at this property because we loved it so much the first time. We returned with a total of 15 extended family members from age 3 to 83. This home has everything for a relaxing, comfortable stay. We all enjoyed the pool and easy access to the ocean. The kitchen was well equipped with all that we needed. By far our favorite was eating dinner on the lanai, watching the sunset together and staying up to see the stars as the light faded. The outdoor living is unparalleled. Perfect Home for Large Families in Paradise
We enjoyed a week at this beautiful property with extended family in March 2023. The home was everything that we imagined and more. It was spacious and clean and had everything that we needed to enjoy our stay. We especially enjoyed spending time on the lanai watching whales and sunsets. Maui Beach House with Beautiful views
The Maui Beach House was spacious and perfect for our party of 10. We did rent out the bottom part of the house as well. The Lanai was were we spent most of the time when we were home, it is perfect for hanging out. We did go across the street to the beach to enjoy some time in the water. The pool was not heated, but we did jump in to cool off on some of the hotter days we were there.

Thank you Stephanie... I appreciate your review. To clarify your comment, the pool is heated... It has a solar heating system... water pumped to solar panels on the roof, and then back into the pool but it relies on the sun heating the solar panels and unfortunately you had mostly clouds during your visit. There was 12 family members who stayed together at the property. We had a wonderful time. The property was beautiful and was just as described. There was plenty of space for everyone. The outside was also great. The big patio table was perfect for the whole family. We really enjoyed the pool and big yard. We used the extra downstairs bedroom as well. It worked great. Darrell, the property manager, was very helpful during our stay. He helped us get settled in when we arrived and answered any questions we had during our stay.

50 year wedding anniversary with 4 generations
We stayed in this house 5 years ago and loved it then. When we decided to do a repeat for our 50th anniversary we chose this house again. Some rooms have been remodeled and updated--the newly remodeled kitchen was a very nice surprise. We love the spacious lanai and yard and the short trip to a wonderful beach. It is a great and comfortable house for a large group.

A Slice of Paradise
This is an incredible house in a great location. Seven of us stayed here for nine days and had a wonderful time. Some of us would go out exploring the island while other members of our group stayed at the house and enjoyed the tropical/Japanese garden like setting with the cool ocean breezes. Other times we would all go out, or stay in as a group. This house offers something for everyone in the family. The full kitchen, nearby farmers markets & grocery stores allow you to save money on eating out while still having an ocean front view. Check out the well stocked house before you go shopping. Chances are what you need is already there. Mahalo to Robert (owner) & Darrel (caretaker) for their excellent communication before, during and after our stay. The only drawbacks we encountered were all declared on the website in advance. Yes there are power lines in your view, but the beauty of the grounds and the island more than make up for them. Yes you can hear the traffic from South Kehei rd. but it is muted due the property being raised and behind a stone wall. At night the waves can be heard as you go to sleep. There are also a significant set of stairs leading to the front door. We had a few people that struggled with this, but there is an easier way in around the side of the house that avoids the stairs. Minor drawbacks in an otherwise luxurious property. My family is already asking when we can go back. Rent this place, you won't be disappointed!

The property was great. It is a nice spacious lot and we liked that it was gated. We enjoyed the swimming pool. The proximity to the beach is good, also. The one jack & jill bathroom was the only downfall to the bathroom situations. The kitchen was well equipped, but the refrigerator ice maker did not work. We also rented the downstairs apartment, which was nice, but in our opinion should have been included in the entire rental. We did have bird poop all over our cars, which is unavoidable with the trees hanging over the driveway, but annoying. Overall, it was a very enjoyable vacation experience and we would not hesitate to recommend it to others.

I would rate this property 3/5 and my reason for rating it a 3 are below: 1. The pool was dirty and full of sand, which was not cleaned from the previous stay. When we checked out on Friday, we did notice the pool guy came to clean the pool for the next guest, but why wasn't ours cleaned, until Tuesday. 2. One of master room bathroom had a mold smell and the shower curtain was soaking wet and smelled, which required us to change it out ourselves. 3. There were only 1 toilet paper in each bathroom, which required us to supply our own for the entire week's trip. 4. There were no detergent in the laundry room. 5. The "gated property" as described in the description was not working properly. 6. The dishes in the cabinet were not inspected prior to our arrival, because there were bugs found on the plate. For the price we paid for this rental, we had high hopes of being welcomed and appreciated, but it wasn't what we expected. Yes there is an oceanfront and enough bedrooms/bathrooms for everyone, but this property is not well maintained. When we had issues with the gate not shutting and reached out to the property manager for assistance several times with no response and when he finally picked up, the response we received from him was very sarcastic and that he is having dinner with his family. It would have been appreciated if he had reached back out to us to see if we still had any issues or need anything, but we saw him one time during check-in and that was it. Again, we are beyond disappointed with the service we received at this property and it has left us with a bad impression of Hawaii. I would highly recommend that this property gets a deep clean prior to guest arriving and more of a welcome feeling for their guest as well and available for assistance 24/7.

We are very surprised and shocked to receive your review. In the 11 years that we have owned our Maui home we have never had such poor comments, but certainly we take them very seriously. As you can see from our previous reviews, which are mostly five star, both our property manager and our cleaners have received very favorable comments in the past. We have spoken with both of them regarding all of your concerns. Our reply is a bit long as I want to make sure that we respond to all of your issues. Our cleaners always leave three rolls of toilet paper in each bathroom and a full tub of laundry soap on the shelf over the washing machine. If you were unable to locate them or if they were missing, a quick call to us would have resulted in an immediate re-supply. Regarding the shower curtain, I'm happy to hear that you were able to find the replacement curtain we always keep on hand. Regarding the bug in the cupboard, the kitchen is cleaned thoroughly and all dishes, glassware, and silverware are run through the dishwasher before going back on the shelves. Regarding the gate mechanism malfunction, we have checked our phone logs and you placed your first call to our property manager at 8:45 pm, a second one ten minutes later, at 8:55 pm, and then a third call to me three minutes later at 8:58 pm. Darrel responded to you within 15 minutes at 9:00 pm, and I responded to you in 17 minutes at 9:15 pm. Darrel came out that same evening to assess the problem, and found a broken reflector. He tried to replace it the next day with a reflector from Ace Hardware but it didn't work, so he called Centra Systems, our gate repair service, and they were able to secure the correct reflector and repaired the gate that Friday. Regarding the pool, it is cleaned and serviced every Friday morning. You checked in on Sunday night and your review says that our pool service cleaned the pool two days later on Tuesday and again a few days later on Friday. Sand in the pool can be an issue for homeowners along the beachfront as sometimes a Kona wind can kick up, blowing the sand off the beach and quickly deposit it into the pool. If you had given us a call we would have done our best to clean it up quickly. We are sorry that your trip to Maui didn't result in a better experience for you and your guests and we apologize for any inconvenience that the above issues may have caused. We have instructed our property manager and cleaner to be extra vigilent in the future.

Beautiful home close to the beach
This is a beautiful home that is perfect for multiple families vacationing together. Each bedroom has their own full bath, the home is stocked with beach and pools toys and beach towels. Darrel is very friendly and helpful. Weiss the sunsets already.

This property is absolutely amazing! The yard, pool, beach and house all perfect,
It is not the resort vibe, but it has everything you would get at a resort, beautiful house, wonderful pool and the beach in your front yard. It is located just 10 minutes from the Mariana, which is the start to water excursions and only 40 min from Kaanapoli, which has one of the best snorkeling and swimming beaches ever. The location was quiet and the beach had sea turtles in the morning and evening that you could watch and the patio was the perfect spot to be protected from the afternoon wind or enjoy the sunrise and sunset.
