Kamaole I is nearby for another stretch of sand, and South Kihei Road has restaurants and shops close by. A thoughtful layout for a small family or two couples who want both beach access and a little breathing room.



The Space:

With two bedrooms, two baths, and three beds, this condo gives four guests room to spread out instead of living out of beach bags. The interior includes air conditioning, a full kitchen, cable TV, and a washer and dryer. Step onto the private lanai when the group needs a breather, then regroup for dinner or another walk to the water.



Guest Access:

Guests at Kihei Akahi enjoy two shared pools, tennis courts, and barbecue grills on the landscaped grounds. Kamaole Beach Park II is directly across South Kihei Road, an easy walk from the complex. Elevator access and on-site parking are available.



The Neighborhood:

South Kihei is at its easiest around Kamaole Beach Park II, directly across the road from Kihei Akahi. Walk north about a half mile to Kamaole I, or stay close for swimming and an unhurried sunset. Cafe O'Lei, Moose McGillycuddy's, Coconut's Fish Cafe, and the Kinaole Grill Food Truck keep casual meals within reach. Two pools, tennis courts, and barbecue areas add a low-key alternative to another beach afternoon.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
