South Kihei makes beach days feel easy. Kamaole Beach Park II is across the street, with pale sand and a broad swimming area for a first dip before breakfast or a sunset walk after dinner. South Kihei Road keeps casual restaurants, coffee, and beach shops within reach, while Kamaole III and Keawakapu Beach are nearby for another stretch of sand. Wailea is a short drive south when you want a polished dinner or a change of scene. It is a practical Maui base for families who want more beach time and less car time.



Getting Around:

Kahului Airport is about 20 to 30 minutes away, an easy drive down Maui's sunny south shore. A rental car is recommended to make the most of Kihei's many beaches, shops, and restaurants spread along the coast. Some stretches near South Kihei Road are walkable to dining and shopping, while beaches are often just minutes away. Parking is typically available on site, in lots, or along nearby streets.
