Affordable, Outdated Condo in Great Location
My partner & I stayed 9 nights at the Maui Vista condo, Bldg 3, 2nd floor with partial ocean view. POSITIVES: Affordable, great location, beaches, restaurants, shopping within walking distance. Condo complex has ample, free parking, beautiful landscaping. Washer & dryer worked great and we appreciated the provided laundry detergent. Kitchen is well stocked. Balcony is pleasant for eating and relaxing. Enjoyed using the provided beach chairs, umbrellas, and pool noodles. Loved the pool! Great concierge service with Dona G. NEGATIVES: Condo unit is outdated & sad looking. Kitchen tile floor has gouges. Bedding for queen bed in bedroom is low quality (thin sheets and not wide enough for 2 adults); pillows uncomfortable. Carpeting in bedroom is disgusting. Dishwasher soap tablets did not dissolve so dishes not cleaned thoroughly. An appropriate number of bar soaps for bathroom not provided, given our 10-day stay for 2 adults. Only 2 small, round bar soaps, barely larger than a U.S. half-dollar coin were provided and we used up the shower supply in 5 days. We bought 2 bars of soap for $7.49 and asked to be reimbursed by management company, but were denied. No hand soap provided for kitchen. Killed 2 cockroaches in the kitchen the first few nights, but the cockroach I saw on the last night of our stay escaped my chase. Also saw red ants the last few nights. If you're looking for a higher quality condo, this isn't the unit for you.

Aloha Traveler, THANK YOU for staying in this owners condo. Yes, their condo is advertised as standard and many repeats love the location and simplicity of it. As for the soaps. As we discussed on the phone when you called, we ONLY provide a start up of supplies for your stay, as stated in your rental agreement. These are individually owned and not like a hotel where they come in a service the condo during your stay. "Check out cleaning only. There is only a start up supply of paper items and soaps in all units. Guests are responsible to replenish as needed. " I wish you would have mentioned your other concerns during our phone conversation. NO other guest before your or after your stay have mentioned ANYTHING that you have commented on. Hope you enjoyed your stay on the beautiful islands and THANK YOU for supporting the island of Maui while they heal. Mahalo, On Island Management Team

Typical condo complex, but this one close enough so you can walk to the beach. That's a plus .Main street shopping also walkable ,so plenty of options there.

Awesome for everything except working remotely
Beautiful property with LOVELY little touches everywhere. Lots of basic things you may need like dishwasher soap, dish soap, some laundry pods, trash bags, etc.. They also have beach chairs and towels and fins. The location was amazing, across the street from cove beach and charley young beach. Walking distance from restaurants. The balcony area was wonderful too. And the bed was comfortable. The only issue is that the internet needs to be upgraded, it was challenging to work remotely there and it doesn’t work well in the bedroom. That and the room to sleep in would get pretty hot in July, even with fans. But I could see this only being a summer issue. Overall, we loved it! And would stay again.

LOVED the location. Central. Beaches, shops, restaurants all nearby.3 pools to choose from. Unit was clean, kitchen fully equipped, ocean facing for small ocean view. Would def stay there again! (The small extras sure made a difference and were appreciated).

We were very happy with the property. We've stayed at Maui Vista previously - although a different unit, and have enjoyed our stays. We were even provided with two brand new beach chairs - still in plastic - very nice.

Unit not ready …
We were told our room would be ready by 2:00 PM. After a long day of travel we arrived at 5:00 PM only to find the room nowhere near ready for us. Several minutes were spent on the phone trying to connect with someone who could help. Finally we made a connection with the person who would clean our room, but it would take her 45 minutes to drive to the room and another 30-45 minutes to get it cleaned and ready. Also, she had no record of someone checking in to the room that we had booked. Finally everything was settled and we got into our room at 7:30 PM. The week went great after this beginning.

The property was very nice. The internet however was non-existent. TV directions need to be rewritten as no mention of "Unknown source" in them. The bedroom was hot, and could not open window because screen was broken at bottom. Other the that we enjoyed ourselves.

Quaint flat in the heart of Kihei
We had no issues whatsoever during our stay. There were quite a few amenities present including beach chairs, kitchen stocked with tools and basic stocks like salt/pepper/vinegar… washing machine in flat with a few detergents to use. We got a note from security once because we accidentally left a towel on the balcony rail. This also shows they take care of the complex and are always around to secure safety and wells-being of residents. Lots of bedding equipment, towels etc was also there. The couch is a basic pull-put to sleep on. We added a bit of padding, as these tend to be not the most comfy in any place but that was to be expected. It is fully functional and does the job well. We didn’t have to use the aircon at all - open doors and quiet ceiling fans did their job really well. Would definitely stay there again. Value for money ok, given the extreme high prices on Maui in general.

Washing machine was broken until second to last day. They were very accommodating during the replacement but I went a week without the use of it. Major construction was going on at the adjacent property. Very noise with heavy equipment and back up beepers. That should have been communicated prior to booking and should be discounted for that

Central Kihei location
Location was good, close to pool, beautiful scenery with a sliver view of ocean. Condo layout sufficient for 2-3 or parents with 2 kids. Condo itself needs a good deep cleaning, dusty around the edges and under furniture. Cooking amenities could also use an upgrade. We started laundry and dishes and cleaned up fairly well in hopes they use time to do a deeper cleaning/scrubbing of the unit. Thank you for use of chairs and umbrellas too, very nice.

Outdated and Uncomfortable.
Wouldn’t rent this unit again. Instructions for check in weren’t provided until I called the property management company. Unit was being cleaned even though we arrived 5 hours after check in time. Furniture is very old and uncomfortable. We slept on the floor because the pullout bed is terrible. Bed in the bedroom has no support, ended up with a sore back all week. Dishwasher is old and dishes looked like they hadn’t been washed or scrubbed in months.

Aloha Traveler, Sorry you did not enjoy this owners condo. The arrival instructions were never sent over due to our Reservation Confirmation was not returned in a timely manner. We send check in directions when signed confirmations has been returned and two weeks prior to arrival date. This way guests have easy access to the owners condos after their long day of travels. On the note of the cleaner still cleaning. Yes due to Peak Season, this cleaner had many back to back guests, so this condo was the last she was finishing up for the day. At least it was clean. No call during your stay about any of the concerns you have mentioned in the review. Wish you would had contacted us about the bed. No other guests have had issues. We will contact owner about your concerns and comments. Many other guests have really enjoyed this owners condo, per other reviews. Have a blessed New Year! Paradise Vacations Inc

Great stay, but
I wouldn’t say the unit was cleaned to COVID standards. Bathroom faucet was awful. Front door lock had issues. Washer would act up and not want to proceed with cycle. Accessing cable even with instructions was confusing. Had a nice view that was cool in the AM. Sleeper sofa squeaked. I just slept on the sofa w/o opening it, but it was soft. Don’t know if the owners have ever been told about these problems.

We loved this condo! Definitely will be booking here again when we visit Maui. It is in a great location and close to everything. We didn’t rent a car this time and had no problem walking to all shops and restaurants. The condo was clean and welcoming and the property management company onsite was very helpful.

Great location and amenities!
Stayed for a month at this listing, was pleasantly surprised by the location, being in the middle of everything in Kihei! Going south we were able to walk to plenty of beaches, and going north, we could walk to a bunch of restaurants, bars, and grocery stores. The condo also was stocked with all the essentials for cooking, laundry, and showering, and the community was great with parking and activities like tennis. Would highly recommend!

Nice place to stay
Good place to stay for a vacation in Kihei. Location is good and it is near by much of the things to do. The pros, this place is clean and the property is quiet. Plenty of parking on site. Laundry can be done in the condo which is a great plus. Bed was comfy as were the pillows. AC worked great though the place was cool enough with just the fans going. And the water pressure in the shower was probably the best of any of the condos we've stayed at in our almost decade of coming to Maui. The cons: condo is kinda dated. While this isn't viewed as a negative in my opinion it might be for other people. Plan on picking up paper towels and toilet paper from Costco before you arrive at the condo.

Wonderful Stay Perfect for My Needs
This unit was exactly as described. It was clean, had all amenities listed, the bed was very comfortable and complex was close to beach, food, dining etc. It was perfect for my needs as I wanted to stay in same complex and building as my cousin and her family. Property manager was effecient in getting me info I needed on time, check in was easy as I arrived very late and she also helped me with my car rental @ Kihea Rentals. If I was to return to Maui I would have no problem staying in this unit or complex. I had no issues but I am sure if I did the property manager, Paradise Vacations would have handled it right away.

Feel like home, location, budget friendly
Perfect location and close to everything. Walked across the street to a beautiful beach or to the surf beaches nearby. Quiet, beautiful and peaceful property. The condo sure needs some upgrade but so far, it was still ok for our family to stay for a week. Not perfectly cleaned when we checked in and I guess it was because it wasn’t enough time for them to clean. So we did find some trash under the sofa and the floor was sticky but not really a big deal. It is humid and sandy in Hawaii so I’ve prepared to clean up a bit more anyway. The AC electricity breaker was down a couple times during our stay but the management team was handy and we were able to fix it ourselves. We would love to stay here again for sure. Thank you.

Perfect!
My friend and I could not have enjoyed our stay more. The location was perfect for spending time at the beach and the condo had everything we could have asked for - stocked kitchen, beach supplies, a pool, grills, etc. The only reason I would hesitate to recommend this property is so that I could keep it all to myself! We would be lucky to stay here again.

We had such an amazing time at our condo. It was all very easy and straightforward.
Very excellent value for money. We were located a minute from a gorgeous beach. The condo had everything we needed including beach chairs and flippers for snorkeling! The kitchen had all working ammenities. It was really a perfect spot and provided easy access to the rest of the island being located toward the center of the island. Had a great time and highly recommend both the condo and rental agency.

Clean complex and unit, excellent location
This is our first time we stayed at this unit, the complex is clean, well managed and building 3 is quiet. The unit is clean and has everything required for a short or long stay. On the lanai you will get sun from noon to almost sunset, great place to be for morning coffee and to watch the sun go down. The unit has a good cross breeze and a good AC if required. We have added this unit to our list of units we would rent again if available. 7th visit with the Maui Vista, great location for walking or biking to beaches, restaurants or shopping.

A few hicups but really good overall
Third trip in Maui, second stay at Maui Vista, the perfect place in Maui. This particular unit was very good. The bed was very confortable. Since we don't cook at the unit, we can't review the kitchen. We only used the fridge to put water and fruits. Being in a tropical place, we can expect to see cockroaches. We saw 2 in the bathroom. Fortunately, the regular treatment was the first week of our stay, didin't see any after that. Problem with greeen water in the bathroom, a call to the owner and it was very quickly resolve. A few days without hot water but we should have called the first day, our fault ;-) If you are not an english speaking person, beware when you communicate (email) and use the prefect word,

Bostaden ligger i ett turistområde med nära till stranden, restauranger och andra turistattraktioner. Bostaden är lagom stor för 2-3 personer. Börjar bli lite sliten, men allt fungerade som det skulle.

Très belle propriété, toutes les commodités.
Le seul problème fut qu'il n'y avait pas de wifi. Aucune connection pendant tout notre séjour. Cela a pris plusieurs communications avec le gestionnaire avant qu'il nous confirme le tout mais nous avons convenu d'une entente.
