Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We were very happy with our stay - the accommodation was as advertised, clean, spacious, and with all the amenities we needed. The location was convenient; just a short walk away from the beach (and the ABC store). The hosts were very communicative and gave great tips -- we even booked the kayak and snorkel tour they recommended, and loved it!

Nice place in a good location.

My wife and I really enjoyed our stay here. The condo is in a good location within short walking distance to the beach, shopping, and places to eat. There is a chest full of goodies too...beach chairs, boogie boards, sand toys, and cooler for your use. The pool is nice along with the hot tub. The real reason for the five stars is the helpful, responsive, and friendly staff at Sunny Maui Vacations. If you need anything just ask them.

Host was fantastic

The property management team was exceptional! Any time I had a question, they responded immediately and they were very patient and pleasant to chat with. We had a small issue in our condo and they were quick to fix the situation. They went out of their way to make sure we were happy and satisfied! I would definitely recommend and after my experience, I would want to only rent with this wonderful team.

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had an amazing time in Maui. The home is less than a 1 minute walk to the beach. There were plenty of good places to eat. We enjoyed the Maui Fish Market. They also have ice cream and shave ice, a bakery and a rental location where you can rent equipment or purchase excursions all in the shopping center next door to where we stayed. The ABC store in walking distance had yummy foods to try and made fresh breakfast, lunches and dinner, which was perfect for our grab and go moments. This spot is south, but about a 45 - 50 minute drive north will get you to beaches like Kapulua Bay where snorkeling was perfect for the little kids with calm, warm water. Black Rock beach was fun too. The current is a bit rougher though. Great location to snorkel too. The beaches in Kihei were really windy. It made it difficult to keep an umbrella up. The home has beach chairs, a cooler and beach towels. The AC worked great if needed to take the stuffiness off. The home was clean and organized, stocked well. There was plenty of space for my family of 5, with a king bed in the bedroom, comfortable murphy bed and a pull out couch. My only suggestion would be to have the shower drain cleared so the water flows out better. It would fill up and sit there for a while before it finally drained the water out and the shower water pressure could be a bit harder. The complex was very quiet. The rental host Sunny Maui Vacations are fantastic. The whole process was extremely efficient. Their attentiveness to making sure we were comfortable and aware we had a life line to ask questions or get help was readily available. I received a few quick tips on where to go for certain things which was very much appreciated. I would recommend utilizing their services in the future. Stellar customer service. Overall we had a memorable vacation and cannot wait to visit the beautiful island.

Disappointed

Disappointed with the stay, but here is the truth and you decide. After a long travel day, we arrived at midnight. Sunny Maui Vacations was informed that we would be arriving after 11:00pm. The code they gave us to get into the suite did not work. We spent 30 minutes on the phone, and received the correct code. When we entered the condo, we were immediately met by a nasty stale and mildew odor. The property management group had not aired out the condo or started the air conditioning. There was not a welcome card, a bowl of fruit, a package of coffee for morning - not even a welcome bottle of water in the fridge. The next day we opened everything up to air out the place and bought some Febreze. We contacted Sunny Maui Vacations and they said they could send someone over with some air fresheners. We said don't bother, as we had begun to let in Maui's wonderful sea air. There was a list of other problems which we sent to Sunny Maui Vacations when we left, so they could fix things up for the next customer. We spent thousands of dollars to rent for two weeks and they reimbursed us $100. Sunny Maui Vacations was quick to answer the phone or reply to an email, but that doesn't make a good vacation property manager. That stuff is easy. Until they removed the musty items (carpet, furniture, wood blind over the glass door), the bad air problem will persist. This condo needs a major reno with new furniture.

Great location, not super clean

The location of this property is great. We also were happy to use the beach chairs that weren’t broken and umbrella. We stayed 3 nights before moving to a different part of Maui for the rest of our vacation. This place could have been a lot cleaner than it was.

Really just ok

This is my honest review of this condo: It's really a great location, just a 3 minute walk to the beach and some great little shops within walking distance but the condo itself needs TLC. You can smell water damage upon entering. The kitchen has been updated which was great but you can see water damage in the kitchen along the baseboard. It is requested that you remove your shoes while in the condo but our feet were black when we did. I had to wear socks the whole time. Carpet could use replacing. AC was great to have! The shower had mold on the shower head and in the grout. I was able to clean most of it off. The grout through the condo has not been cleaned in a long time and was pretty dirty. The pool was great and we enjoyed it. However, there were some pretty strict rules at the pool that some full time tenants even complained about. If the condo would have been clean I would have given 4 stars.
