"We came down for a guys' golf weekend, and it was the perfect setup. The house is modern, spacious, and well laid out, with four comfortable bedrooms. After our rounds, we loved grilling by the pool, relaxing with a few drinks in the courtyard, and unwinding together. The location is excellent—inside the second gate with easy access to the Ocean Course and all the other Kiawah courses. We couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Thanks for a great weekend!"

"The property was absolutely amazing….the staff was incredible. The food was outstanding. The only thing to note that if you stay in a Villa on the grounds versus at the hotel/sanctuary, you don’t have access to the best pool on the beach and you have to pay for beach chairs- $20 a chair. But even given that, we cannot wait to go back. Perfect for families!"

"We just got home from an amazing beach trip at Kiawah Island, staying at the Riverhouse. The house was just as described. Very tastefully decorated. The kitchen seemed liked it was newly renovated, and had all the supplies we needed. I never know if rental homes will have salt and pepper, let alone other spices, but they had everything we needed. We have been coming to Kiawah for years, and I chose this location because I wanted to be near the Kiawah River and have access to the dock for fishing and crabbing. The dock was about a 3 minute walk from the house which made it so easy to get to. We brought our inflatable kayak, and could have launched from the dock, but we just never had a chance to use it. Our 2 boys loved fishing/crabbing from the dock, and the sunsets were spectacular. I have never stayed in a home before the first gate, but the boys loved that it was an easier bike ride to Freshfields. When we wanted to drive to the Sanctuary, it was no problem getting through the security gate; they just provided a day pass when we told them we had a dinner reservation. We did have a tiny issue with ants. However, when I reached out to the owners and they took my concern seriously, and immediately responded. They had an exterminator there the very next day, and he took care of the issue. They did a phenomenal job in communicating with me both before and during the trip. They provided beach towels, which we usually forget, and had beach chairs and and boogie boards in case we had forgotten ours. We will absolutely be renting from the m again in the future!"

"We are repeat guests at Sea La Vie and can’t say enough about the whole experience. The location is fantastic- just a short walk to the beach and adjacent to the beautiful Cougar Point golf club. Our hosts communicated well and all was perfect start to finish. We’ll be back next year!!"

"Outstanding in every way! Where do I begin? 4 minutes walk from the beach. Large selection of beach toys, boogie boards, a wagon and beach chairs. Outdoor shower and lots of nice new beach towels. Almost daily visits by deer strolling past the kitchen window which overlooks the pond and its resident alligator. Nice private pool and hot tub in the shade with lots of outdoor seating. Tons of room both in the bedrooms and in the multiple common areas. Designer touches on all of the rooms with high end features in the kitchen and bathrooms. Everything in tip top shape fully up to date. Honestly nothing to dislike or even any room for constructive criticism. 5 stars! Stay here if you get the chance."
