The stay was wonderful. Everything we needed and then some. The court yard is also very beautiful and tranquil. We loved it. We didn’t really use the kitchen, but it seemed well stocked.Location was the key !! I will only stay here from now on. The parking wld be the only downside, but that’s key west. We got really lucky and got parking right outside the gate each time. We rented a gold fart and biked the whole area. Perfect spot! The dos enjoyed themselves too! Quiet area to be in the middle of it all!

The place was great and we enjoyed the courtyard - so pretty and tropical and well maintained. You can walk everywhere and don’t need a car. If you have a car- the parking situation is not easy.

Inside the unit I did smell damp but saw no mold or mildew (its humid Florida so wasn’t surprised) and used a little spray lysol in the air and it never bothered us. Very quiet, king bed was comfy, plenty of new white fluffy bath towels and even pool towels were provided. The bedroom faces a big spotlight so bring your sleep eye mask or something to drape over the windows. Curtains in the bedroom would be a nice addition to help with the bright nighttime lights but other than that, great place, we would stay here again. Thanks!

Do not stay here if allergic to mold.

I hate to leave a bad review, as we have had an excellent experience renting from vacasa for 10+ years. Unfortunately, after this trip, we will no longer rent from vacasa. We booked the Audoban house #6 last year (as we have done for 10+ years), but were notified a few months ago that we would have to relocate due to the owners no longer renting through vacasa. Vacasa offered this location as an alternative. We have stayed in these villas before (not this unit) and were okay with moving, as the grounds are gorgeous and the location is great. When we opened the door to the unit, we were immediately hit with the overwhelming smell of wet mold/mildew. The unit felt damp and smelled horrible. My mother and I are both highly allergic to mold, we take medication and do allergy shots to help this. If we are exposed for too long, it will result in headaches, nausea, and breathing problems. I immediately reached out to vacasa to request a move. Of course the number I called had to reach out to the local office, which never reached out to me. I must have called and texted with 5+ people trying to resolve this issue. Their solution (after 2 hours of me continuously calling) was to send a cleaning crew in the morning. I declined that offer as that would not help this issue. The unit was visibly clean and taken care of. This is absolutely not a cleaning crew issue- it was obviously very well taken care of. They said there were no available places for us to relocate. They asked me if there was visible mold in the unit, which I told them was not the problem. However, since being here for 3 days, mold has since grown on the blinds. I have also found mold on the pictures hanging on the wall. The floor is incredibly soft in places, which is a sign of rot. I understand that relocating people(especially on a weekend) is incredibly challenging and/or impossible, however, there was no sense of urgency, empathy, or understanding in how serious this matter affected us. We have felt horrible this whole trip, which is so disappointing. Staying here was not our choice. No one has followed up with us since checking in. No one has called to see if we are feeling okay or if there is anything that could help us feel more comfortable. I am sad to say we will not rent through vacasa again. If you do not have allergies you will not understand the seriousness of this problem. However, if you do have allergies, do not stay here.

The place was lovely but everything smelled of mildew. So much so that when we went to our next stay, our clothes smelled of it just from having our suitcases open.

Perfect location

This property was perfect for my husband and me for about 5 days. The location is excellent. No car needed. We rented bikes next door and could walk to everything in the evening. The unit was clean and renovated. There is a lovely couple who live on site and maintain the beautiful gardens. They gave us excellent advice on where to eat and things to see. Great experience!

We enjoyed our stay. We especially enjoyed the courtyard. Upon entry to our condo, we were surprised by a strong musty smell. As we we came and went the smell was less evident. Good location for sure. Questions were not always answered in a timely manner. Suggest phone, not text or email.

We loved everything about our cottage stay in Key West! The unit was lovely and the courtyard was amazing! We couldn't get the downstairs fans to work but otherwise everything was perfect!
