  • Carol's Cottage is located in the historic and beautifully wooded Methodist Encampment neighborhood. The Light On The Hill, Methodist Ministry and Church is adjacent to the neighborhood, which hosted the first vacation homes in Kerrville, most originally owned by Methodist Ministers. While there are many activities within miles, Carol's Cottage offers a quiet respite for long walks, visits with neighbors or reading quietly in the yard while watching the deer graze.

We loved the house and the neighborhood. We're birders so the feeders there attracted lots of birds which definitely added to our enjoyment. The deer wandered the area and were nice to watch from the porch. Great stay!!

We enjoyed our stay in this cottage hosted by Carol. They live in the neighborhood and we enjoyed being welcomed into their space. The cottage is well set up and while small, we had everything we needed. It’s a quiet, clean, lovely place to stay. We recommend it for couples or singles.

What a beautiful and relaxing place to stay! We enjoyed the quiet neighborhood, the cool, refreshing pool, the abundance of birds and flowers and the many deer just sauntering by in the neighborhood. It was a short drive to the farmer's market, shopping, the brewery and restaurants. The entire place was very comfortable. Looking forward to visiting Kerrville again - Carol's Cottage is the perfect place to stay!

All we hoped for!

The cottage was attractive, clean, well-appointed, comfortable. We were looking for a brief respite from the current heat wave as experienced in the city. This was perfect - good AC, beautiful pool, and a shady and beautiful place to sit outside in the mornings. The neighborhood was also very pleasant for a morning walk. We could not have been happier.

Carol has put her time, talent and affection into every square inch of this cottage. It is stylish, comfortable, functional, quiet and has numerous great antique furnishings. There is a spunky little weiner dog that lives on the other side of the fence who is always happy to greet you.

Lovely area. House decor was perfect. The wildlife increased our enjoyment and safety was evident. We had a bit of a problem upon arrival, probably our fault. We never found the door code on our email so that caused a minor problem. The owner explained she was tied up with clients so that explained not being able to reach her when we arrived. Otherwise a wonderful experience.
