- Welcome to the kern cabin! The home is an original 1948 cabin with a large contemporary a frame built on top. It's spacious, bright, and secluded on over 2 acres, but only 3 minutes from the town center of Kernville, the river, and lake isabella. One of the closest place you can stay when visiting the sequoia national forrest.
