"This is an older motel property but has been maintained well. It is like a small step back in time. It's not new and fancy, but cozy and charming. Right next to the park and the river and across the street from downtown businesses. "

"Since 2023, we’ve been coming back to Kernville annually. Whispering Pines Lodge is the only place we considered staying at. We’ve travelled to many places, stayed at various hotels/inns/cottages but never stayed in the same place 2x except at Whispering Pines Lodge. It’s like home away from home, a sanctuary when we want to decompress and just relax. "

"Absolutely fantastic cabin on the Kern River! The cabin is beautiful decorated and the furnishings were very comfortable. The kitchen was very well equipped with quality cookware and dinnerware. The outside of the cabin was even nicer. Both the front barbeque area, with the native garden, and the back porch were peaceful and relaxing. A short walk from the cabin and we were in the river. The owners provided lots of water equipment for our use. We felt like we were away from it all, yet the proximity to Kernville and Lake Isabella was very convenient. Our stay was rejuvenating and we hope to stay here again."
