The best area to stay in Keramoti is the main village itself, especially around the harbour and the adjacent beachfront.

This central area is the heart of Keramoti, offering easy access to everything. The harbour is where the ferry to Thassos departs, and it's lined with tavernas and cafes. Just behind the harbour, you'll find the main street, which has most of the local shops and amenities. The long, sandy beach stretches out from the village, providing ample space for relaxation.

Couples will find this area particularly appealing due to the convenience and relaxed atmosphere. You can enjoy strolls along the harbour, dine at waterfront restaurants with views of the Aegean, and easily access the beach for a swim. The evening provides a pleasant buzz without being overtly noisy.

For families, staying close to the main beach is a fantastic option. The beach here is known for its shallow, calm waters, making it ideal for children to play. Many accommodations in this area are within a short walk of the sand, meaning less hassle with carrying beach gear.

The best time to go to Keramoti is during the shoulder seasons of May, June, and September, or in July and August for a classic summer holiday.

For those who prefer pleasant temperatures without the peak summer crowds, May, June, and September offer an ideal balance. The weather is warm enough for swimming and sunbathing, typically ranging from 20-28°C, and the island is lush with blooming wildflowers in spring or bathed in a gentle warmth in early autumn. These months are superb for couples looking for a relaxed escape, perhaps enjoying a leisurely walk along the beach or exploring the nearby villages without the bustling activity of mid-summer.

If you're seeking a lively summer holiday with guaranteed sunshine and all activities in full swing, July and August are your best bet. Temperatures consistently reach 30°C or higher, making it superb for spending days by the sea or pool. Families often find these months ideal as all the local amenities and water sports are fully operational, providing endless entertainment options for children and adults alike.
