"The most communicative host I’ve ever experienced! He was so thoughtful to call prior to my arrival to make sure I knew the best routes to take and offer up suggestions. Everything was easy- from finding the house to accessing the lake-only a 3 minute drive to the boat ramp! The house is well equipped with most anything you might need. Yes, it is an older house with some quirks. But it’s cozy, convenient and perfect for what we needed. Plenty of yard to play ball and run around. John was a great host! It was obvious how much he and his family have enjoyed this house over the years. It’s a great place to build memories! We enjoyed our short time there and look forward to returning."

"We had a wonderful weekend at Lake Jocassee and couldn’t recommend this house more. The house itself felt spacious and beautifully kept, with a well-stocked kitchen that had everything we needed. The views are absolutely incredible — hard to beat waking up to that. The dock is fantastic and made getting out on the water easy. We appreciated the easy access to the property and the secure feeling the neighborhood had. A great vacation for a family, and we’d happily come back. Thank you to the hosts!"

"We had a great experience staying here. I surprised my husband with this quirky place and he got a kick out of it! Clean and quiet. Bed comfortable. AC was COLD which I loved after a long hot day on the lake. Nice covered grilling area and fire pit! Will def stay again!"
Jocassee Valley cabin- Free Park Pass

"Overall we had a good stay. The cabin itself was clean, towels were provided in the bathroom. Check-in/out was contactless and went smoothly. The cabin is on the same property as two other rental buildings, which wasn't a problem for us. Be aware that the queen bed is extremely soft (I'm usually not picky but I'm glad I was the only one on it). I tried to contact the host to double check that I had the cancellation/refund date correct (I was struggling to find it again after I booked) due to weather concerns and I got an AI response. I was not going to be upset if someone had just replied "it is too late for a refund", but I didn't even get a human, just basically AI spitting my words back at me. This is their business and not just their personal vacation joke they are renting out, so I would expect a bit more. Overall decent for a budget stay."

"This was an absolutely seamless stay from start to finish. Communication with the owner was excellent, consistent, friendly, and responsive throughout our visit. He was always available to answer questions and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best possible experience. The home was thoughtfully stocked with just about everything you could possibly need, making it incredibly comfortable and convenient. The location is perfect, with easy access to everything we wanted to do. I would absolutely recommend this property to anyone looking for a stress-free, enjoyable stay, and I would gladly stay here again!"
