It's our first bed and breakfast experience. Overall it was not bad for a first time. The room is very clean and well maintained. The breakfast was delicious, not a typical breakfast served in a hotel. It was freshly made/cooked by Leslie. The location of the hotel is perfect! Most of the well-known wineries are nearby, even the Cafe Citti (best Italian restaurant in town) is only a walking distance.
The only con is the garden area stinks because of the dog poo everywhere.
We also had a little issue with our check in. We didn't arrive between 3 & 6 pm as recommended. We waited and couldn't get a hold of the person that will check us in. Almost looked for another hotel...
Also, it's not a B&B for family. When we booked thru Hotels.com we put that we have kids, but when we arrived the lady was surprised to see the kids. We they had to ask the other guests if it's okay for us to join them for breakfast since we have kids. Good thing our kids are well behaved.
--- Not a family B&B ---
--- Clean room ---
--- Good breakfast ---
--- Free Wine Passport ---
Our room was small but clean and comfortable (thanks, Maria!) We had opportunity to poke our head into two of the larger rooms before guests checked in, and they were very spacious and beautiful. Marga, our host, is a very kind and interesting lady. Breakfasts were great (Leslie, the cook, makes world-class scones) and the coffee was tasty, hot and plentiful.
The hot-tub area is really nice -- and a great place to chill out with a good book and a good bottle of wine. Also our room was quiet - we couldn't hear other guests much at all. We could only hear the local rooster when our windows were open.! The air conditioning and ceiling fan kept everything nice and cool.
The location of Casa Bella couldn't be better for visiting all of the great wineries in Sonoma. We never drove more than 45 minutes away from it -- and most days we only went 20 minutes away. There is good food within walking distance at Palooza, and some great tasting-rooms just steps away.
There is sad news, though... In November 2016, the Casa Bella will no longer be a B&B. The owners are changing it to a whole-house rental. BUMMER.
Had a wonderful stay at Casa Bella. It's a beautiful property and a great location. Close to many interesting, small and midsize Sonoma Vineyards. Great personal service and a truly delicious breakfast served every morning.
WOW!!! We stayed here last year for a nearby winery event and everything was perfect!! We thought we'd stick with this gem. It was even better this time!! Marga, the innkeeper and part owner, offered us a WOW upgrade just because we came back! Instead of a queen room, we were offered a suite! The separate living room was beautifully appointed with a Monet theme, comfortable classy furniture, refrigerator, and TV! We enjoyed sitting on the wicker front porch furniture and watched guests play bocci ball. The grounds were lovely and filled with flowering plants and mature trees. The hot tub was perfect and the surrounding cabanas gave a Miami feel to our Sonoma stay. I'd stay here again in a heartbeat!!! Oh, and the breakfast!! Wow deliciousness again!!!
Fantastic location. We had a wedding to attend in Kenwood and it was very convenient to stay here. We even had time to visit wineries in between our obligations.
Marga, Chef Leslie, and Marie were amazing. They did everything in their power to make our stay wonderfully relaxing and memorable. The kind hospitality they give their guest is such a rarity nowadays! Lastly, the warm organic breakfast that Chef Leslie makes every morning is not to be missed. My husband is not an early riser but he did not miss a single one of Chef Leslie's breakfast. That's how phenomenal the breakfast is!!!!!
We stayed at Casa Bella Inn for two nights to enjoy ballooning, wine tasting, zip lining and the mud baths of Calistoga. The B&B is located in the Sonoma Valley rather than in the Napa Valley, however there are a lot of wineries in and about the area, it's less crowded than Napa Valley and the drive to Napa Valley is pleasant and not all that far.
Casa Bella is amazing so beautiful, such a wonderfully relaxing place, the grounds are beautiful. And to top it all off it is really close to some amazing wineries, walking distance. I am so blessed that I found this place it made the our surprise trip for my mother in law, so very special, you are lucky to stay at Casa Bella the name fits the place perfectly. I give this place a 10, I will go back.
Number 1: That was supposed to be a 5 STAR RATING. I was doing it on my phone and pressed the wrong star. Number 2: We tried a number of different accommodations than usual on this trip...this one was the Winner! We will be back, and allow ourselves more time to really enjoy the property and the area.
We had such a lovely stay at Casa Bella. The home is beautiful and each of the rooms is tastefully decorated. Marga was extremely helpful with suggestions for places to visit and restaurants to try. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious! We happened to stay on a weekend where it poured the entire time, but commented that the property is beautiful and it would be fun to lounge around if the weather had been better. They have an outdoor hot tub with individual cabanas as well as a bocce ball court. I would definitely recommend Casa Bella!
We reserved a room to stay here the day before our wedding that was scheduled to take place at a very beautiful local winery managed by a relative. It was to be a simple outdoor wedding with just a few close family members.
When we arrived at Casa Bella we were greeted by the owner in such a warm and friendly way that we felt like we were with family. The grounds were very attractive, but inside it felt just like that dream home that you have in your mind where you are sitting near the fireplace reading while there is a storm raging outside. And as situations can change, a storm was developing, so our plans for an outdoor wedding were in jeopardy. I just took a shot and asked if it would be ok to have our ceremony with five guests in the main room the next day. Our request was warmly accepted and the love we felt was palpable. The ceremony was brief, beautiful and just perfect in a perfect setting. We were out before check-in time when that day's guests would arrive.
If you are considering a stay here, I wouldn't suggest that you plan a wedding on the spot, but consider that you will be staying with caring people that were delighted to help us out without hesitation when we were in a bit of a spot.
All the things that you expect such as clean rooms, good food, etc, were as one would expect. I probably would not take time to write a review during our honeymoon, but the friendliness, concern and warmth from the entire staff deserves our highest recommendation.
The innkeeper and chef at this delightful bed & breakfast are fabulous! We were greeted with a warm welcome, had a beautifully appointed room, and enjoyed absolutely delicious breakfasts. This is a rare gem!
My wife and I had a fabulous time here. The place is beautiful and very convenient. The historic home has been completely renovated and updated to include all modern amenities- including marble showers, top-notch linens, and very comfortable beds. The staff was perhaps the best part- Marga treats you like a long lost friend and you feel right at home. we cannot wait to go back. This is our new go-to place in the Sonoma wine country.
Case Bella was so peaceful, yet convenient. Our hostess Marga made us feel right at home. The shared areas (porch, living room, hot tub cabanas etc) were charming, and we were only disappointed that we didn't have more time to enjoy them. Her breakfast was delicious. Our bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom well appointed.
We cannot say enough good things about this B&B.
Marga (Propietor) was very persabale, discrete and accomodating. I'm normally not the B & B type, but Marga was both disarming and cordial. The Casa was clean as a whistle. Good linens! Breakfast was perfect along with some great wine tour comps. Quiet. Quality.
This hotel was so comfortable I did not want to leave the property. The Spa/Cabana was visually a treat as well as so serene and refreshing complete with soothing fountains.
Marga, the owner/Inn Keeper, was THE exceptional Hostess providing for every need in a very unobtrusive way. The breakfasts were absolutely delicious!!
I will return.
Gracious host & staff at cozy B&B with great food!
We wanted to check in early and leave for a nearby wedding. No problem. Breakfast was superb and the cook generously provided us with her delicious scone recipe. The meal was shared with interesting guests (always a memorable part of the b&b experience.) Host was very welcoming and caring. Great place for couples.
