Spruce Lodge

Spruce Lodge

10/10 Excellent
"The property seemed quite new and everything was in good condition. The room was large and well equipped, such as with an electric fireplace and a kitchen area The beds were very comfortable- probably the most comfortable of any beds on our trip. The marble shower in the bathroom had a “high end” feel to it. The only negative was that the wood-look flooring wasn’t very clean. After walking around the room in clean white socks, the bottom of my socks was noticeably dirty with very black dirt."

"Location is perfect for restaurants and access to the primary shopping area. The historic room was that including a hike up two flights of stairs. Newer private bathroom was a good upgrade. Spot is at the opposite end from the cruise ship dock which was also a plus to be away from those crowds. It is also close to the Alaska Sealife Center which is well done. It has a newer side with elevator access so wonder how the price and room itself would compare. Historic Queen was tight. Seward itself is a beautiful spot, but take the Kenai Fjords tour to see how spectacular that National Park is. We got to see Denali and the mountain itself earlier in the week but this area is way more spectacular and we live in Colorado."
