The best area to stay in Kempty Range is around the Kempty Falls and along the Mussoorie-Kempty Road.

This area is the main attraction, famous for its cascading waterfalls and the surrounding natural beauty. You'll find a range of hotels and guesthouses directly overlooking the falls or just a short walk away. The Mussoorie-Kempty Road, which leads to the falls, is lined with eateries and souvenir shops.

For families, staying close to Kempty Falls offers immediate access to the main activity. Children will enjoy the opportunity to paddle in the pools at the base of the falls or take a cable car ride for panoramic views. Many hotels here cater to families with larger rooms and sometimes offer activities suitable for all ages.

Couples looking for a peaceful retreat will find options slightly further along the Mussoorie-Kempty Road, away from the immediate buzz of the falls. These accommodations often provide more secluded settings with stunning valley views, great for a relaxing getaway.

The best time to visit Kempty Range is during the summer months, from April to June, and the post-monsoon period, from September to November.

The summer offers pleasant weather with mild temperatures, making it ideal for outdoor activities like exploring the Kempty Falls and hiking the surrounding trails. The days are generally clear and sunny, providing good visibility for scenic views of the Himalayas. This period is great for families looking for a comfortable holiday with plenty of opportunities for children to enjoy the natural beauty.

For those who prefer a quieter experience with lush green landscapes, the post-monsoon months of September to November are excellent. The monsoon rains have revitalised the vegetation, and the air is crisp and clean. While the weather is cooler, it's still very agreeable for sightseeing and enjoying the waterfalls at their fullest.
