Our stay at the farmhouse was everything we wanted and needed! A beautiful home and perfect location - close to everything but tucked quietly away from the busyness. Mark was a great host and easy to get ahold of.
We had a wonderful time surrounded by the sites and sounds of farm life. The Grandkids loved exploring the house and running in the fields. We spent countless hours all together on the veranda. Look forward to next year.Thank u to our host Mark
This property was perfect for our needs. Lots of room for 6 of us (4 teenage boys and us). Mark and Amber were wonderful. The house has so much character. Its beautiful and you cant beat the location. Would 100% recommend staying here.
Beautiful location and character home.
Spacious and comfortable. Host was excellent. Attentive but never knew anyone was around until needed. Thanks Mark and Amber. Great stay.
Old house with character….very well equipped. Large dining room table that can accommodate a large group…we had 11 for Thanksgiving dinner. Good location…..10 to 15 minutes to all the locations we needed to visit.
We had a great time. Everything went smoothly. All of us (6 adults and one 3-year old) enjoyed the accomodation and hospitality. Thank you Mark and family for keeping the old house alive and in good shape, this is a lot of hard work.
This is the second time we have stayed here. It's a perfect meeting spot for three families, with lots of sleeping space, big kitchen and table, and so much space to play outside. Our family loves this property. The house is so fun with lots of staircases and unique charm. Comfortable, friendly hosts and quiet property for a great price!
Heritage house and very spacious.
Amber and Mark were very nice and helpful. We were 8 of our family. The house is big and confortable. A bit too warm in the summer heat with no A/C but definitely convenient!
The property was lovely. A very well cared for farm house. There was lots of room for our group., It is the perfect place for multiple families staying together. The patios are huge and welcoming and the kids loved the 'hammock hangout' patio in the back. I loved looking at all the interesting knick knacks and posters. Tonnes of stuff in the kitchen - you won't be looking for anything.
The owner does stay downstairs for the stay and comes into the kitchen to empty garbage and compost daily - which I appreciated, but perhaps a different group of guest may want more privacy. The kids were sad there were no sheeps and goats like pictured on the listing, but there were donkeys, goats and horses next door to see.
This is our second time staying at the farmhouse and It served its purpose well. This historical farmhouse provides lots of space and large rooms, and a huge front porch for large family gatherings. We stayed during the heatwave, but there were lots of fans throughout the house. The setting is beautiful with the mountains, the valley and the roosters crowing while we drank our coffee on the front porch. There are so many nooks and crannies that made it fun for young children. There are lots of interesting toys and little rooms for kids. It’s not a 5 star hotel, but you won’t find anything as unique for a large family stay at this affordable price. Suggestions would be to have portable air-conditioners for the bedrooms during the heat wave. And a coffee maker. Thanks Amber and Mark! We hope to return some day!
The farmhouse is lovely and spacious. We stayed in a heatwave and not surprisingly there was no A/C but fans were provided in each of the living areas. The kitchen was fully stocked and the kids enjoyed the wooden toys of the play room. My favorite part was the back deck with daybed and views of the farm. The baby grapes were delightful. My only concern is that the hosts had full access to the house while we were there. We noticed that fans that had been left on were turned off when we returned indicating that someone had been on the rental floors. One night I was outside on the back deck and the host came up through the kitchen. Looked around the main floor, turned off a fan that was still in use, and headed back downstairs. I question why he came up in the first place and what he was looking for? Seemed a bit odd and invasive.
The house is a real heritage gem. Very spacious! The bedrooms are all a good size, and the main floor rooms are very large. The front and rear porches/verandas are wonderful places to chill out; you can enjoy the peaceful view and the tranquility of the country without getting sunburnt, because of the large overhangs.
Because of the smart overall design of the home, the lower floor stays relatively cool, even on a hot day; the upper floor bedrooms are very hot, though, and there is no air conditioning. Even though all rooms have good windows and screens, we found it difficult to stay cool on hot summer nights. There ARE fans for every room though, and that helps.
It was a place that we wanted to hang out in; sit on the couch and read books from the very eclectic library. No pressure to get out and find something to do, but if you needed to get out, everything was a short drive away; 20 minutes to the airport, and most things in town were about 10 minutes away, max.
Amber and Mark are really nice hosts and are easy to get hold of, as they live onsite.
Stayed with 8 adults and 2 kids. Overall a great stay. A little hot at nights but that is expected during the peak summer in Kelowna and without AC. Lovely property and close to everything.
Loved the spaciousness of the place and the uniqueness! It was perfect for what we needed. It was nice hearing all the countryside sounds and yet be close to the city.
We love the farm house! Fabulous place to come to spend time with our family in a calm, relaxing, and warm setting. Thank you to Mark for being a great host.
This farmhouse was the perfect space for several families to gather and enjoy all that Kelowna and surrounding areas have to offer. The farm is unique and full of character. Mark was friendly and great. Appreciated his hospitality!
