Avocado Acre- Perfect cottage in Keaau for a relaxing getaway

Experience Keaau like a local in this enchanting 1-bedroom cottage. This charming cottage can comfortably accommodate 2 adults, 2 teenagers, 1 smaller child and an infant . This is a beautiful newer build with great attention to detail. This includes a private bedroom, full bathroom with shower and tub, and a well-appointed kitchen with everything you could possibly need for a perfect vacation. This property is 10 blocks from high-cliff ocean, on the dead-end side of the street, with very little traffic. The lanai overlooks our 1-acre avocado orchard with 70 avocado trees, lychee, papaya, dawa, rambutan, cacao, lemon, lime, orange, longan, abiu, banana, pineapple, mandarin, passion fruit, spinach and lemongrass. Please ask what is ripe.

There are no added fees or hidden costs!!!! We include everything so that there are no surprises!!!!We have stayed in VRBOs and wanted this to simply be the best, most thoughtful place you could ever wish for. We have picked only the finest quality mattresses, sheets and pillows for your comfort. There is no need to lug a crib or highchair as we supply both. We also supply snorkeling gear, a cooler with ice packs, beach towels, beach blanket and mat, beach umbrella, an exercise mat for yoga, travel coffee mugs and stainless water bottles for you to borrow. There are several card games, Scrabble, stationary, puzzles, coloring books and reading books for you to enjoy on the quieter days. The kitchen comes fully stocked with oil, salt and pepper, other spices, teas, coffee, coconut sugar and cocoa powder- perfect for making smoothies. Cookware and cutlery are high end. We supply cutlery and dishes for babies and toddlers as well. You have the choice of drip, French press or coffee maker for you coffee enjoyment. There is a toaster, blender, food processor and coffee grinder for all of the gourmet meals you might whip up. We have high-speed internet- enough to stream movies use your phone easily, and browse the internet!!

We have several rescued cats, some of whom will welcome you home. A few of them really love children and are very friendly and gentle. If you’re not interested in their company, please just gently ignore them. We also have 5 rescued dogs that are kept secure at the caretaker ohana. They are only out with our direct supervision, usually when guests are out adventuring.

Please NO SMOKING, NO VAPING, NO BURNING OF ANY KIND inside the cottage or anywhere on the property.

We are trying to minimize our carbon footprint, so please compost all kitchen waste, reuse towels as much as possible and turn off lights and appliances when not in use.

PLEASE BE CAREFUL WITH WATER USAGE. We have water catchment and are completely dependent on rainfall. The water is fully filtered and UV’d so it is safe to drink. Also, we are saving up for a complete solar system- you can help us get there faster by being careful with our resources. Mahalo nui loa!!!!!

This whole property is yours to enjoy ...one acre of fruiting trees, garden and the cottage. We are in a tiny house below your cottage. Our caretaker, Mili, lives in the ohana, for a total of 3 tiny houses on site. We are working on planting more fruit trees and making a bigger garden. Jason, my Fijian husband, loves to chat and share his Fijian cooking with you, if you’re interested.

I am available 24 hours a day by phone/text. Text is best for me!! I am a nurse and work crazy hours and sleep crazy hours. I will answer emails and texts as soon as possible. Mili, our on-site caretaker is available almost 24/7, but you will hardly know she is there.
