We enjoyed the entire experience, the house the close proximity to downtown the breakfast but most of all the host was wonderful. A return visit is in order,

Alex is the charming host of this older property. The upstairs bedroom is an adequate size with a large comfortable bed. The shared bath is across the hall. Breakfast is self-serve featuring yogurt, fresh fruit, baked goods, eggs, plus various hot and cold beverages. Located on a very quiet street with free driveway parking. Within walking distance of downtown Bobcaygeon.

Forgot that i really want our own bathroom in a B+B - the accomodations were very nice and the host was very kind and welcoming but the rooms were close together and with a shared bath it made it kind of tight. But very nice breakfast and great host.

An anonymous review? Next time you should read carefully the prospectus of what you are booking. You were very aware of what you were booking and if a shared bath was an issue for you, you should have booked your accommodation more carefully somewhere else. Also, if you want to pay a lot more than what you paid for a shared bath situation, you should have done so before leaving a review of this nature. In seven years of being in business, this is the lowest score ever given. Clearly it comes from someone who is disgruntled.

it was go to see a house that was so well built with real lumber being USED It is not one of these new houses made of sawdust

It was a very nice place to stay and staff was excellent. The rooms were a little small. But very convenient to walk to everything and we enjoyed theshops and restaurants.

Unfortunately, 140 year old homes weren’t built to the standards of modern Hilton hotels standards. The character and ambience of an historic house far outweighs the more modern characteristics of today’s lodgings.

The property is very nice (it is a very special old house with a unique story told by the current owner and host Mr. Alex Bostock, a ver nice and friendly retired English teacher who makes wonderful breakfast and superb conversation). The stay was very memorable, the house is very clean and quiet and all the items are very interesting (each with a story). There is an AC and ceiling fan, fresh towels and anything else one may need. The TV screen in the room was a bit small (19''), but we never thought of using it anyway. Free parking, very nice breakfast, all in all - a wonderful stay in a very "home like" environment (it's like visiting friends or relatives who welcome you with open arms and are happy to see you) . Highly recommended.

Beautiful home, over a century old with all original woodwork in excellent condition. Charming grounds and comfy seating on the covered front porch. Nice room with a/c, ceiling fan a window that looks out on a privacy hedge of lilac and a comfortable bed. Nice big bathroom, clean. Charming formal dining room, good breakfast of toast, hard boiled eggs, lots of fruit and good hot coffee. Home is in easy walking distance of water, and all town amenities.

House has character and charm, but is small and somewhat cramped. have to share bathroom with other guests. Caretaker is very friendly and helpful. It's close to town.

Before they make a booking, guests are well formed about the size of the rooms they are booking, along with the fact that bathroom facilities are shared. In fact, these guests had a private bathroom situation as they were the only guests at the time.

I found my stay very pleasant, nice and relaxing. Communication was clear and precise, very clean, bed comfortable, food wares for breakfast plentiful and varied. parking with cargo trailer not a problem, and wifi available. Only one minor thing would I change is bigger tv in bedroom but as a bigger tv was available for viewing in living room this was not an issue. Our host was friendly and enjoyable company.

It was a great experience ! The house was beautiful our room was comfy and the host was super nice and really interesting. The breakfast was great . There were other guest(that were also very nice) when we went and out host made it really easy to talk to them at breakfast time! Next time we will definitely return !

Lovely B&B, easy walking distance to downtown area of Bobcageon, canal locks and beach park. Room clean and bed very comfortable. Know that if you request not to share a bathroom, it can be arranged. Alex is a marvellous host. Loved our stay at Riverside Cageon.

Beautiful century home on a quiet corner lot. Back deck surrounded by trees was a nice way to spend a warm summer night after a great day of walking around town. Bed was comfortable, A/C was available as was TV and complimentary WiFi. Bathroom was modern and clean. The entire house was a delight, including the host! Breakfast was plentiful and delicious.

A Pleasant Quiet Stay
Everything about the Riverside Caygeon B&B was immaculate. The rooms were clean and tidy, the host maintained the temperature at just the right level, and everything functioned. The host himself was available and willing to chat if that's what the guest wanted, but otherwise was elsewhere. I had a very relaxing stay at the Riverside Caygeon B&B.

Heritage house in Bobcaygeon.
The host is great. Very welcoming. Very good breakfast, cooked to perfection. Comfortable room in a heritage house in a good location. Very clean. I would definitely stay there again.

Beautiful Bobcaygeon
I enjoyed a peaceful and quiet 2 night stay in beautiful Bobcaygeon at the Riverside Caygeon B&B. A delicious breakfast was made to order daily and my room, although small, was very comfortable. The host was welcoming and helpful and the space very beautiful, original from the time period (late 1800's) and artistic. I look forward to my next stay!

Good location-great host
Convenient location - 5 minutes walk from lock.We were parked our boat at lock and spent 2 nights in this B&B . Alex - the owner is a most warmest B&B host we met so far . Great service , fully functioned and clean facility , you can see the continues upgrades everywhere . At the end - we were really enjoyed this more than century old house with the modern days features ..

Bobcaygeon's hidden gem!
Our stay at the Riverside Caygeon was delightful! The century old home was charming and cosy with all of the modern convenieces. The host Alec was very welcoming and attentive to our needs. The house was a very charming and cosy century home. It was nicely decorated and spotlessly clean. For breakfast there were many items to chose from and it was delicious. The town of Bobcaygeon is a beautiful spot right on the Trent river. Riverside Caygeon is a definite return visit!

Nice little B&B
Alex was a very warm and welcoming host. We were arriving late and a simple phone call to let him know was appreciated. Comfortable and clean location. Would stay again anytime.
