"Nice out of the bustle location along the lake. The food was good, the staff very helpful and accommodating. The prices for the food were a bit steep but other than that a nice place to stay."
"Van Life Hotel was very nice hotel and I enjoyed my time there. It is clean, quite, in a nice neighborhood close to the city center. The only shortcoming was the air-conditioning which sometimes worked and some other times did not. However, the time I was there it was not so hot and being in upper floors helped with air-conditioning. "
"The window was very tiny and wasn't facing outside. Good breakfast options for the price you pay.
The brewed tea and cold fruit punch in the lobby was and excellent bonus to unwind at the end of the day. "

"Our first time in Van was made amazing by our stay at Roccia Downtown Hotel! Booked it and didn't regret it for a second. The location was perfect - on a side road of one of the main streets, so easy to get to restaurants and shops. Our room was super clean and well-kept, and the amenities were top-notch. Loved that we got 2 bottles of water and tea/coffee replenished daily. Breakfast was absolutely delicious - so much variety! The staff were super helpful, and special shoutout to Nurullah at the reception - he was EXCEPTIONAL! From day one, he helped us book tours, spa treatments, and taxis. Only negative was that the spa wasn't operational yet, but Nurullah's service made up for it. I'd DEFINITELY recommend Roccia Downtown Hotel to anyone visiting Van!

"What I enjoyed the most was the people. Melisa, Reha, Yusuf, Verat, Fatih all my made 5 night stay fun and personable. I did not want to rent a car so they helped me navigate the bus and dulmus to Akdamar Island and into the City Center. I also took an afternoon in the town of Edremet and enjoyed the harbour and shops. The people were amazing and fun - taught me about the local area and a little about Kurdish culture. The room was spacious, the water hot, the view nice of the Lake. The one thing that can be improved was the mattress was a little older and soft. I didn't make a request to change rooms though as I still got good sleep. There was noise from the traffic but the view of the lake made up for that. AC was comfortable but not too cold. The MADO restaurant was delicous, great people too. I loved VAN."
"Excellent staff and a very clean hotel. Mr. Sardar, a very respectful man, kindly helped us with our questions and needs. I highly recommend this hotel for family stays and will go back. "
"This is a wonderful hotel with truly kind, welcoming, and helpful staff. The room was small, but served my needs well - I found it to be very good value. I initially had some WiFi issues (my phone wouldn't connect from the bed area), but solved it by using my computer as a hotspot. The free breakfast every morning was delicious and varied. I loved my time here so much and would absolutely come back. I originally booked for four nights and ended up staying another four. I didn't want to leave! Don't hesitate to book here. Thank you all for a great stay in Van! :)"
"It was near the worst part of town. It was basically a motel that wasn't clean. Nobody could speak English. Whatever description is incorrect, and the quality was awful."
