Where to start, first sink didn't have any water called to get it fixed. Second shower only have very hot or very cold not able to get the perfect temperature, end up taking a cold shower. TV channels were not working had to ask twice to fix it. I am glad I didn't go to breakfast on the first day, The second day the selection they had was really bad, eggs was the most interesting in the menu and guess what they didn't have any asked to make more, manager offered me fried rice. This was at 9am. I really hope they improve.

Great service and comfortable experience
Fantastic service, superb standard of room (we were upgraded to a suite), decent breakfast and great location given the price. Porters were super friendly and the concierge staff were very very helpful and kind. The only thing, unfortunately, was that the hotel was experiencing a (one-off, we were told) failure of their hot water pipe on the last night we were there. This was apparently triggered during the Holi festival when many guests took more showers than often, draining the hot water supply and also somehow leading it to become murky over the subsequent three days. But we noted hat this was an infrastructural issue out of the hotel’s control and had happened to other hotels in the area too. To make up for the difficulties faced, the very kindly manager Bhuwan offered us a complimentary ride to the airport the day we left - a move that was well appreciated.

Good location in Thamel
Hotel is well located in Thamel, and the staff are really helpful. Breakfast a choice of fresh fruit, cereals, pastries etc or hot local food. They also make fresh omelettes for you. We ate in the hotel restaurant one night and thouroughly enjoyed it, also the Chinese just up the road is nice Room was clean and bed comfy, with a tv with some English channels. Be warned Nepal is really dusty as you are walking around, so bring a scarf or something to cover your mouth! Thamel is noisy pretty much all day and night - traffic horns, dogs barking and loud music from the bars across from the hotel, so bring some earplugs. By English standards I would say this is a 3 star

Amazing staff: sweet, friendly, helpful, great disposition and eager to assist. Rooms were spacious and clean. Location unbeatable in the heart of Thamel. The only problem with the property is the proximity to a bar open until late and playing live music.

Staff was very helpful and always had a ready smile. The breakfast provided was more than adequate and they even made masala chai. The location of the hotel was excellent as it was in the middle of everything. The hotel room was more than spacious; admittedly they did upgrade us to the junior suite. I would certainly return to this hotel upon my next visit. Namaste 🙏

Nice hotel close to the main area in Thamel with many shops around. Breakfast was also good, Staff very pleasing. Overall would definitely recommend this hotel.

Friendliest hotel on the planet!
We loved our stay at Hotel Buddy, probably the friendliest hotel we have stayed in during our travels so far (and we've been travelling non-stop for 3 months!). Don't be put off by the street outside, which looks a little unappealing, the hotel is fabulous and excellent value for money. ALL staff were amazingly polite and professional from the cleaners to the restaurant staff to the wonderful gentleman on the travel desk. If you are planning on a visit to Kathmandu, stay here! #thenaughtonnomads

Service in Hotel Buddy is of a whole new level, we've never experience such a delight of customer service before, love this people. They even hooked us up with sim cards and advise of good sightseeing places without a need of tour guides or extra expenses. Free pickup from airport as well with our names!

Great Hotel in the heart of Thamel
Very friendly and family like atmosphere. The management and staff always attended to my needs with real concern. The hotel accommodation itself far exceeded my expectations. Good quality food at the restaurant at very reasonable prices. Prem at the travel desk is very knowledgeable and managed to organise my day trips with ease and at prices lower than what I was quoted outside of the hotel. My trip from Kathmandu to Pokhara by road was exciting and the views breathtaking but the next time I will choose to fly. This was my first visit but definitely not the last. Looking forward to going back.

Stay at Hotel Buddy!
The staff and accommodations at Hotel Buddy were excellent. They went above and beyond in their service. When we checked out, we forgot a gift my son was given by a family member in Nepal. We called from the taxi, they found it and they sent someone to meet us. We went home with the gift and got to the airport in time.

GREAT Hotel: clean,comfortable, but expensive food
This hotel which is less than a year old is CLEAN and COMFORTABLE and a great value for rooms - unusual for Kathmandu. Superb location in Thamel, although ALL hotels in KTM are noisy. Loved the rooms. Service is good too, BUT only problem is food in Hotel restaurant is unusually expensive. B'fast is average too. If you plan to eat outside (many restaurants close by), then I can highly recommend it.

Heerlijke bedden
Heel fijn hotel met behulpzame mensen. Het ligt midden in thamel, daardoor is het een beetje rumoerig maar dit is te verwachten. De bedden liggen heerlijk en het ontbijt is goed!

Great hotel in Kathmandu
In a city that is everything but easy, this hotel was a welcome surprise. Hotel conditions are very good and all the hotel staff have been exceptionally kind, cooperative and helpful. Many thanks! Their free private airport pickup adds even more value. Definitely recommended !
