"We loved our room at Sleepy Station. It was spacious, clean, comfortable and great value for money. We enjoyed the tea/coffee making facilities in the room and the water cooler too. The staff were friendly and helpful."

"Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience at this hostel.
When I arrived, I had to wait nearly an hour before anyone showed up at the reception, which was already not a great start. Prior to my stay, I had sent a message via Hostelworld requesting a quiet room, but this was completely ignored. I was given a room facing the street instead.

"This was my first stay in a hostel and I am glad it was here. The staff were amazing upon check in. I felt safe and the facilities were clean. It was very close to the airport so made getting transport early the next day very easy. Good wifi. I wish I actually got to stay longer because I feel like there was some fun areas I didn't get to check out! If I come back to Phuket I will definitely stay here again."

"Very noisy neighbouring bar playing loud music on one side of the hotel every night until midnight or 1am. It's an old grand house that is losing a lot of quality and has been converted into a jumbled café full of stuff. The staff are very friendly and kind. The beds and linen are exceptionally comfortable. One of the showers needs a lot of maintenance."

"What you pay is what you get I suppose for 300 baht per night .A simple bunk bed which I keep hitting my head as it was too low nevertheless with hot water shower facilities ,15mins walk not too far from the airport ."

"The rooms were amazing, me and my friend had an amazing time. Everything was sparkling clean, the rooms were very spacious and luxurious. The hotel gave us slippers, towels, toiletries and even water for free. The staff was very polite, nice and friendly. Breakfast was also great with a great variety of food. Definitely highly recommended!!"
"stayed here for 7 nights and i didn’t want to leave!
the room was great, nice and clean with daily housekeeping.
the rooftop pool and bar are stunning with a great view.
the location is really good, everything close by without being to busy.
will stay here again next time i’m in phuket"
"Shops and breakfast could be found nearby. I am not aware of any restaurant being on site. The room was relatively large and i would say fine but pretty average, as was most about the hotel. It was good value though, and staff were friendly.

"Great hotel in Kata. We stayed as a large family group in April 2026. Check in was smooth and the reception staff were consistently helpful and friendly. We opted for the 1 bedroom suite and it was worth it- spacious and bright.
Breakfast was great- lots of choice and the kids loved the low level kids section so they could choose their own food. Love that there is a couple of coffee machines so never a long wait for breakfast cappuccino!
Pool area was clean, always beds available and slides are great fun. The sun shade over the kids pool was super for the hottest hours.
Games room offers nice relief from sun too, we used it a lot to cool down and play some pool or our own board games.
Super location for access to beach for sunset or the night market for a quick bite.
Special thanks to staff Noi and Prai for being especially friendly and helpful during our stay- wish we'd noted down more names as lots of the staff we're kind to the kids and helpful during the stay.
The only improvement could be a hotel bar for the evenings, so our adult family could gather while the kids played in the games room- the reception area is bright and clean but not great for sitting round chatting as a group.
Would definitely recommend for family holiday."
"Lovely hotel in a great location at the end of Karon Beach and the start of Kata Beach where you'll find a variety of shop, restaurants and bars.
The staff were lovely and couldn't do enough for us.
Our hotel room was very clean with a comfortable bed and pillows. Decorated in traditional Thai style but could do with a bit of an upgrade. Only gripe was the towels which were so very thin.
Breakfast was lovely with a good variety to meet all of our tastes. Lunch options were good too and very reasonable priced.
Only negative comment was the pool sunbeds which were very uncomfortable with very thin plastic cushions."
Hostels are a great way to stay for a lower cost, so you can save your budget for going out. You can enjoy activities like shopping, and the beaches create an appealing natural setting.
