"It is an older property, so it looks a bit dated/worn on the outside. But, the rooms have been remodeled with tile and vinyl floors (no nasty carpet, yay!) and the room was very clean and the bed was comfortable. Fridge, microwave, and flat screen TV (with DirectTV) all appeared fairly new and all were in good working order. Free breakfast is what used to be called "continental" and included coffee, tea, juice (apple & orange), variety of cereals, bagels & toast, apples, oranges, granola bars, yogurt, applesauce. Wifi available but somewhat spotty, which was noted by the staff at check-in. Did not cause a problem for me, but I was there for leisure not business. Very close to Shawnee National Forest. Great value for the price, and I would definitely stay here again if visiting the area!"

"Judy was so welcoming, friendly, and courteous! The property was clean, beautifully decorated, comfortable, quiet, and close to Garden of the God's, multiple trails, and restaurants. The hot tub was ready, plenty of privacy, and up to temp when we arrived. It was perfect after hiking all afternoon. Would definitely come back and recommend to anyone!"

"We wanted a place “to get away from it all.” We got our wish and then some. The cabin is beautifully decorated and clean yet so very comfortable and quiet tucked into the hills of gorgeous Southeastern Illinois. We spent a lot of time relaxing and enjoying the cabin. We also got out and saw some of the sites and natural beauty of the area. The hostess thinks of everything. We will be back."
