GDM Megaron Historical Monument Hotel

"We had a very enjoyable stay at the GDM Megaron. Our junior suite, with its balcony overlooking the harbour, was a real highlight and offered beautiful views. The only minor drawback was the lack of a table and chairs on the balcony, which would have made it easier to sit and enjoy the view for longer. Breakfast offered an impressive variety of choices, while dinner was beautifully prepared. The menu was somewhat limited, but this was only a minor inconvenience, especially as the hotel’s central location meant that plenty of restaurants were within easy walking distance. We therefore enjoyed dining out on most evenings. The staff were consistently friendly and attentive, making us feel genuinely welcome throughout our stay. The rooftop pool was another pleasant feature, although its small size meant it could feel a little limited when several guests were using it. Overall, the GDM Megaron is a stylish hotel in an excellent location, with wonderful staff, comfortable accommodation and a lovely atmosphere. Despite the limited dinner menu and small rooftop pool, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would happily recommend it to anyone visiting Heraklion."

"Location was perfect, close to city center and historical sites. City is busy and little crazy to drive in but is fun if you are up for the adventure. The hotel was impeccable and since the moment we got there the staff was helpful. Digital keys are always hassle free. Room had everything we needed and more. Hotel has only a couple spots for parking if you have a car but only a block away there is a parking garage which had really great service. Also around the corner there is a great coffee spot. Overall I do recommend this hotel 💯"

"The staff was so incredibly welcoming and helpful during our entire stay. We had an early flight prior to the breakfast hours the following morning, however the staff kindly offered to provide a boxed meal for us to take to the airport. It included a apple, banana, a few different pastries, along with bottles of water and juice. The room was amazing! We needed a quality bed and pillows after our previous locations stay and this room hit the spot! The bed was so comfortable and the pillows were awesome! They even had a pillow menu if the pillows didn't meet your needs. My wife and I will certainly come back in the future as the amazing experience we had! Great location too for going to the local shops and restaurants."

My only issue is that then hot water sometimes ran out in the shower and tap but the staff told me they were currently working on this issue which is reassuring. Great central location right near the centre of Heraklion"
