Beautiful island but definitely not a 5 star hotel. AC in rooms didn’t work. Called 5 times and they were unable to fix the issue. Explained AC was an issue though out the property. Highly under staffed and food was average at best. Pools were dirty and water was incredibly hot. Apparently the chiller was an issue with the pool too. If you’re looking for a cheap option this is good but you get what you pay for.

Very family friendly and relaxing venue. We purchased the all inclusive package, the package was very much worth it. I highly recommend this venue and would certainly return.

By far the most engaging and friendly staff I've ever met especially the folks in the Flavour restaurant. Everyone was so kids friendly and always engaging nicely with our kids. On the other hand I think compared to other 5 star hotels we've visited, Kandima lacks the excellence especially when it comes to quality of beverages/food (and don't get me wrong the food was nice but not 5-star nice). I personally found the price for fresh coconuts ~6 USD ridiculous as this is the only thing that grows everywhere on the island. The location itself is amazing, beach is picturesque and looks amazing on Instagram as well as the perfect sandbox for babies and toddlers. If say Kandima is great but definitely not 5 star when it comes to quality and excellence.

This resort was amazing. Mostly very friendly and knowledgable staff. Food was amazing, especially at the buffet when Chef Vijay was in the kitchen. easy to get around by foot and also has a free shuttle and bikes for rent. Only reason i didnt give a full 5 stars is because of a handful of staff who were less than friendly and helpful, but overall everyone will go above and beyond to make you smile at this resort, woud go back!

The location is a paradise, the size of the Island is perfect , you can have a walk but it takes 40 minutes to walk through which is making the experience wonderfull . The food is great and the service staff top (hussein, song, anita )

Kandima Maldives Experience
A great anniversary trip. Greater by hotel at airport with sign. If taking water plane, make sure luggage total 20kg per person. Additional charges may apply. Over the water bungalow just like photos. Limited food and drinks were great with DAI package. Tropical area. May rain a little but weather was still 80 plus degrees. This was a trip for the books!

The place was ok. It more of a 3 star property than 5*. Staff do there best to accomadate and the chef. I hated the beach. It not smooth at all. It was rubbish. It had to much shells. Yes it was white. Pic from far make it look amazing. But close up not that great. All insclusve drink are all water down juice. Not the real thing. Pools are nice and bar area good. Restaurants are good with plenty to choose from. Another I had was the swirl pool are cold so I difficult to use at night time. It was ok but the best.

2/5 stay - I was expecting a splendid stay for end of the year and my post birthday, but it turned out so suckish! While the resort was very pretty, the experience was super bad right from the start of my stay. First the seaplane was delayed then cancelled and they didn’t inform us until we asked about the delay. Next when we arrived at the resort, when we wanted to book the restaurants to have our meals, the receptionists said everything was full and we could not even get any places to eat. Then it was the same with the spas and it was so hard trying to get the availabilities. Food was also just average and not spectacular especially the new year eve dinner which costed $300 US. Lastly their app and their schedules were all not synced properly - we booked the schedules and the receptionist insisted there weren’t the schedules when it was printed on the paper and we booked for it. Overall, the receptionists and their services failed us as they didn’t know what’s happening, restaurants failed us as they insist they were full when the restaurants looked empty (I had photo proof), spa was rushing thru the massages but the staff at Aquaholics was so super friendly and accommodating which saved the day! Overall I would not recommend this accommodation until they sorted out their service standards particularly the receptionists and their IT app deliveries.

Superb resort for families! We got a 5 star service from start to finish. No complaints what so ever. Kids club was great for the little ones. The entire team at Kandima were amazing everywhere, they were always friendly, warm and made us very comfortable. The Spa was amazing and so was all the amenities. Would recommend this resort to all with out My doubt.

I stayed in an aqua villa which is stunning but has no privacy at all. Neighbours can see you on your balcony or in your room. Room service is very very poor. Staff forgot to give me my PCR test before I left, was very stressful at the airport to try and get it. I do not recommend even though some things like room decoration or lagoon are nice.

From the moment we landed at Male international airport, the staff of Kandima was there to greet us and made the connection from Male to Kandima seamless. Kandima if far more beautiful in person than any picture we had seen! The food, staff, and room we stayed at (aqua villa with jacuzzi) were excellent! We truly can't wait to be back!

Great places, I stayed there with my fiancé at the Aqua Villa Jacuzzi. Breakfast is amazing but limited menu, dinner great as well also limited selection. I want to give special thanks to Wasa at the Pool Bar. He was amazing, down to earth. The General Manager was there and not friendly, he was on bis cell phone the entire time as opposed to the other managers who came by and introduced themselves with a big smile on their face and actually engaged with people who stayed there. Leadership starts from top to bottom, the general manager should definitely practice that. We did some excursions and please make sure you do it with Koko. He’s a great guy with smile on his face even in the water with you smiling. I work in Banking and if you would ask me key component question from NPS and how likely would I recommend them, I’d say an 8/10 And if they ever have a contest going on to enter a free entry and you’re American. Don’t even bother wasting time joining the contest. They only select and pick people from India and Russia as their bosses who control the panels are from India and bias.

The Good - food and service at Sea Dragon, Azure and Smoked - music played on speakers around the pools each day - the bands each night - the water sports guys were all awesome especially Lorenzo (scuba diving) - great being on Platinum All Inclusive (PAI) so no rude bill shocks - coffee in the Deli - breakfast buffets - rooms were comfortable The Bad/Mediocre - food at the other outlets was hit and miss; The Breeze pool cafe offered salads were pre-made and packaged in the deli; the dinner buffets at the buffet restaurants were OK but not great - the cocktails often taste different when made by the same bar - there is no consistency - they were very hit and miss - having to pay for bikes on the PAI plan - the premium restaurants close on certain nights so you can't always use your expensive PAI - the PAI is expensive but it's the Maldives so no surprise there - internet wi-fi around the resort was poor and in our rooms was slow The Ugly - the air cond in the room is very poor - had temp set to reach 18.5c but we were still sweltering - on arrival there was a mix up and they didn't know were on the PAI - they then said we had to still pay for the PAI - I showed an email confirming payment and eventually they agreed - on arrival it took about an hour before we got to our room because of the above mix up plus a staff member taking 30 minutes to run through a resort map - we then had to wait for the standard shuttle bus to our room - we were hot and exhausted and wanted our room

We needed to choose a resort that would at least partly answer to the needs of little kids. After a lot of research, we chose Kandima, as it is a fairly new resort, on a very large island, with facilities directly targeted at children, including a kids club and medical center. Any worries we had about visiting the Maldives were washed away at Kandima resort. The staff have crafted a highly personalized experience - they go out of their way to make every moment of your stay enjoyable and worry-free. This includes the extremely comfortable and thought out domestic transfer to and from Male, which is organized by Kandima resort. We were endlessly impressed by the level of attentiveness from all the staff members at Kandima, from the level of hospitality. Everyone, from the front desk staff to housekeeping personnel, restaurant staff and activity guides were unbelievably kind, outgoing, hospitable and positive. Always with a smile, and always eager to make our day brighter. Our kids were always felt like stars when interacting with staff members. All the rooms are perfect and have great ammenities (we stayed in the beach studio and Honeymoon aqua villa). Housekeeping is very thorough. The territory is impeccable! Food for full board guests is delicious, with excellent variety. The island is gorgeous - the water is perfect. I've recommended Kandima to all my friends, and recommend it to you too. 100 out of 10.
