The Rooms were great. The buffet was not 5 star with little bespoke cooking as per other resorts ive been to in Maldives. Male staff mostly seem disinterested and slow. Females are great. Smoke, staff and food was great. Entertainment bsnds were average to poor . Philippino duo however were excellent. Management never seem to interact with guests. Seemed aloof . Lovely location but not really 5 star.

A large size resort for family

A large size resort with various of activities, from diving to parasailing, even kart racing. There a many reefs, in good conditional, for snorkeling. Sharks and stingray could be easily observed from beaches and villas. The buffet breakfast and lunch are in average standard, while the a la carte restaurants are better than expected. However, the shuttle service has to be improved, especially on early morning and late night.

The staff was great and very accommodating. The rooms are nice and clean, they even have a Nespresso machine. We loved the breakfast at Zest, however, the food in the outlets was overpriced and average at best. There are plenty of activities, especially for kids, we loved the live entertainment at the bar at night. One thing we did not like was the smoking policy. Everywhere we went, people smoked, whether it was at the pools, the bar or the restaurant. Very annoying.

I think that Kandima Resort is a perfect destination for a week holiday. We experienced how really the Maldivians live and how much they are connect with forrest and sea. Would have been 5 stars but there was a huge negative for us. We had paid for full board however of the 2 restaurants included one was closed for refurbishment. This meant every lunch and dinner we had to drag our 2 kids (one is 8 months old) to the other end of the island. Can either get a buggy or walk. Depending on how lucky you get with timing this could be 15-20mins on either option. A walk that far with 2 kids prams was unpleasant in the heat too! The staff in Kandiland were good as was Laizan the bus driver (apologies name likely incorrectly spelt!). He was great with our son.
